August Fat Quarter (FQ) Swap
 

Description: This will be a monthly swap. You will sign up each month and you can choose each month whether or not to participate. You will be given a random person to swap with and that person will change each month.
Each month there will be a different theme or color that we will swap. There is a limit of two swaps per person.*ONE SWAP PER PERSON THIS MONTH

**Each person will swap 5 fat quarters that go with the theme or color of the month.
**FQ's can be purchased or can be from your stash but they must be 100% cotton and they must measure 18 x 22 inches (standard FQ).
**They should be 5 DIFFERENT FQ's.

For the month of August the theme is senders choice.
Since there isn't a whole lot to this swap, the turn around time will be pretty fast. Sign up until noon on August 9, receive name and address by August 11, mail out by August 13. Participants are required to PM me when they have received their FQ's and are required to post a PM thanking the sender. You don't need to let me know you have mailed.

*When you send your FQ's please be sure to include your board/screen name so that people know whom to thank.

If you would like to participate please PM me with your board name, full name and address and the number of sets you would like to do. Two set limit.

Please see the rules for all board swaps and PM me with any questions. This swap has been approved by the admin.

For this month only there will only be one swap per person allowed...August is EXTREMELY busy for me and one per person is the limit for this month:thumbup:

I would have loved to do two but one is wonderful also :) I am sending FALL fabrics this time so I hope you love fall :) and if anyone wants a side swap when the sign ups are over I am available! I hope I get fall back.. and uh the ugly fabrics not so much :)

ugly is in the eye of the beer holder :) and amazingly enough I don't drink beer but in my stash are some doozies. who gave them to me? dunno. Surely I didn't buy them! yikes.. maybe I did. funny what is so cool or interesting one time is like.. ugh a few years later. last year I participated in an ugly fabric swap. mine was surely the ugliest then I saw some that made it .. ugly but maybe not the ugliest. lol. worse yet there was one here where people had to make something out of it. omg.

So...I'm in the middle of reorganizing my stash (hubby told me I HAD to or else...) and OMG!!! I can not believe the amount of fat quarters I have. HOLY MOLY!!! Looks like I get to shop my stash for this one!!! WOO HOO!!! I love repurposing my fat quarters, especially the ones that I bought because I HAD to have them and then never found a project to use them in. :) Happy Monday ladies!!!

Pming too. I actually bought a bunch of sale fabric on my way to Idaho the first of July. $1.00 a yard!!!! I was just fixin to ship them to Texas. Ill cut my fqs first. There are some girly ispys and some1800 repros wonder what you'll get!

I am so happy for this month's swap. Only having one makes me think they can be a little better than normal. AND I don't have to go shopping, works for me. :) Sending PM as we speak. Thanks so much, Brenda. Hope this has not been too much for you, would hate to see you stressed to the point of not doing this anymore. So thankful to have signed up. You rock, girl.

OMGoodness!! I can't believe how many people we have signed up for this month hahah...REALLY a good thing I limited y'all this month...thanks for all the positive thoughts...this month is just back to school (work) for me and getting my youngest ready, packed and off to college...just a little crazier than normal here this month;)

As always Brenda, so appreciate you "running" this swap for us every month! Hope you can get some well deserved rest soon. Your youngest off to college, eh?.. I know that is a joyous thing and a lil bittersweet at the same time.. Dh and I only have 1 "child" - as he just turned 28, child is not exactly the right term..LOL.. Anyway, when he went off to college I know the flurry of emotions we all had. Mostly I just think my grandma was so right when she said "Enjoy your kids because in the blink of an eye they're grown up and on their own."...back when she said it I really didn't "get it".. but I certainly do now!! She was a wise lady..
