some tips: add a little glue to the two side flaps to keep them down. when mailing international you cannot put a lot of tape on your package. so glue those side flaps down. then square the bottom of you envelope. you can get more in there plus you can package it better. i square the sides in also. here's a couple of visuals that i hope helps. i have tested the packing limits of the flat rate envelope and they can hold a lot when optimally packed.

Thanks for the pics! This helps me alot since this is my first swap. I was going to go ahead and do the box but I am going to give this a shot first. Went shopping for some souveniers for my sp from the Big Apple so just two more things and I should be good to ship by the end of the week. I can't get over how some already shipped already - so I want to hurry up and send mine although the deadline isn't till next week. Thanks Again!

Sometimes we're fast. Sometimes not so much ...

Sorry for your families loss Fayzer. Just keep trying to think of all the wonderful memories you had together.

Tried the flat rate, fold and all, no way. Ended up with a med. box, good thing postage doesn't count or I'd be over budget. My order came today so package is on it's way. Waaaaay east from me. Hint, she has kids, has dog likes cats. Kids are still at home. Anybody fit that???

Faye so sorry to hear about your brother.

Guess I need to call my only sibling and talk to him let him
know just how much I love my "little" brother.

I hope all who are sick/not feeling well gets better SOON.

I did not get the job with Colorado State Lottery, oh well
as the song goes "another bites the dust" (for interviews).

My GOAL is to get my SP package into the mail tomorrow
as we are headed to the cabin Thursday morning.

Also want to let you all know that I may not be on much (if at all) from
Thursday until Sunday. We are FINALLY going to get our trip up to my
FIL cabin. Tim & I have not been there since Thanksgiving 2007. I am
so excited to go up there.

I am taking my laptop and will try to "piggy-back" off my FIL or Louise's
wi-fi connections, but if that doesn't work then I will try to play around
with my Floriani software to see if I can learn it. Or maybe have dad to
finally teach me some basics with MS Access database LOL.

On Sunday when we leave we have decided not to take the "short" 2 hour
drive back home, instead we are going to do something I have never done
and he hasn't done since second grade (and he doesn't remember that far).
We are taking the long way home which means we are going through the
Rocky Mountain National Park hoping to stop and take lots of pictures. For
this we are both pulling out the "big" cameras his Nikon D500 and my Nikon
D70s; of course I am still going to take my little pocket size Nikon S570 but
doubt I will use it to much.

I am excited to be making my first trek through RMNP. But it is going to be
a long 6+ hour ride home, think maybe I need to pack a memory foam pillow
to sit on as the Jeep is not all that "fun" to ride in.

Oh and Tim mentioned maybe taking the doors off the Jeep never done that
either so that should be fun (I hope).

Talk to you all when I can if I can't get logged on while in the mountains.

Lots of pms telling me packages are on the way!!

mdall 08-07-2012 02:49 PM

Well thought I would be able to mail my packages out today but still waiting on an order to get here. So, SP be patient and it will get there as soon as possible.

So far havent seen any clues that match me, but Ill keep looking. So now for another clue, let see your state was the home of two types of mills one started in 1853 and the other 1854. This is supposed to be fun not easy.;)
