This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can
choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner each month, and the person you send to will may be different than the person you receive from. Failure to send your package after signing up will be cause to be banned from all future swaps. Please do not sign up if you cannot fulfill your obligation. Have fun and be creative!

After receiving your Secret Pal’s details, go to work and put together a package with something you think your pal would like. There is a $15.00 limit on this swap that does not include what you have in your stash. (This does not include shipping) Most swappers do not mind like-new stash items. Please send items you would like to receive. Do not send smelly, holey, or stained fabric. You will need to send me (hav4boys) a PM when mailing and receiving. This way I can keep my records straight. Also send a PM to your SP thanking them. This is an important part of participating. It lets your secret pal know you got their package.

Please take pictures and post in group as everyone likes to see what you get.

Packages need to be mailed out by August 22th, this is a Firm deadline. All International mailings must be mailed by August 10th Firm. If you know that you cannot mail by that date, Please Do Not Sign Up.

For international mailing it is very important that you mark your parcel as a 'Gift' on the Customs Declaration (there's a box you can check). Also, the value should be $10 only (even if you send diamond necklace). The person receiving the package is liable for Import Duty, Tax and a Handling fee. This can cost the person receiving as much as $40.

Padded envelopes are much cheaper to send compared to small boxes. These can be ordered free of charge from the USPS website.

I'm so sorry I haven't at least checked in with you all, hope everyone is fine. I am, now, but I've been no fit company the last few months. I had a cardiac cath in March, and I had a breast cancer scare in May and was nervous, snappy and generally no fun to be around while waiting on results - it took 3 tries (biopsy attempt, MRI guided biopsy, surgical biopsy) and 6 weeks of waiting. Thankfully it ended up being a papilloma. Between this, the pandemic and all that entails, 38 has been an interesting year so far. Hoping the rest of it is calmer.

Here is the quilt made for my niece with all the black and white BrendaK sent me in July's Secret Pal swap. I had enough for the mystery swap quilt and this beauty.

Thanks for posting the picture. I love it! Upon closer inspection I see the whimsical quilt has a basic straight forward pattern but looks a lot more complicated. The only thing is did you have a hard time avoiding having some of the same black and white squares ending up next to each other? Very cute. I will have to store that idea in the back of my mind for a later date. Great quilt!

It is a real bummer to to send a package out and not get one in return or acknowledge the receipt of you package. It takes a few minutes to send a private message to the sender thanking them and letting them know the swap package arrived.

So sorry for the delay. My moms kidneys went haywire and will be having surgery today. I have been with her and will be home this evening to do SP. So sorry.

Okay, all the secret pals are out. I again apologize for the delay.

On a positive note, my mom is out of surgery but will be staying the night at the hospital. She never knew she had a kidney stone and when she does it, she does it big. My mom is 5'2" and 98 pounds. She had a kidney stone that was 17mm. She only found she had it because he kidney started failing. They broke it up and put a stent in so they are monitoring her for the night.

I was able to find some things my secret pal mentioned liking and a version of my pal's most wanted item. Have one or two items to pick up in the next day or two and then I'll mail it out.

I got my package out and can't wait to see SP likes what I chose....haven't participated for quite a while but was always fun...looking forward to pictures

Yesterday I received a fabulous package from hav4boys! Thank you so much Kathy!!! A very cool and fun t-shirt, Wm Morris fat quarters and 1/2 yard! Woot!!! And some really cool notions - thimbles in 3 sizes, a magnetic needle keeper, pins (!), a nifty little pair of scissors, a quilt pattern, machine needles,a pretty card and of course cat treats!!! The boys are very excited about the cat treats!!

To my swap partner: your package was delivered to a parcel locker on August 14th! Make sure you get it today!
