August Secret Pal Swap Closes July 31st 4pm CST
 

Description:
This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner every month, and the person you send to will be different than the person you receive from.




1) YOU NEED TO SEND THE HOSTESS A PRIVATE MESSAGE WHEN YOU MAIL YOUR PACKAGE TO YOUR SECRETPAL.

2)ONCE YOU GET YOUR PACKAGE FROM YOUR SECRET PAL, YOU WILL NEED TO SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO THE PERSON WHO SENT THE PACKAGE TO YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU DID RECEIVE IT AND TO THANK THE SENDER.

3) AFTER YOU HAVE THANKED YOUR SECRET PAL, YOU WILL NEED TO SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE TELLING ME THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR PACKAGE SO THAT I CAN KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS.

FAILURE TO SEND THESE PRIVATE MESSAGES IS REASON ENOUGH TO BE BANNED FROM THE NEXT MONTHS SWAP.


PACKAGES NEED TO BE SENT OUT BY August 16th, this is a FIRM deadline (NOT A SUGGESTION). IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU CANNOT MAIL BY THAT DATE, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP. You can send your package as early as you'd like!


If you are sending an international package it will need to be mailed by the 10th of August. Due to mail processing, our mail dates for international mailing has to be as early as possible! No later than the 10th of August. It can take many weeks to reach your SP so any delays in mailing can delay the start of the next month’s sign-up sheet being posted.

There is a 10 dollar budget for this swap. Items from your stash or homemade items are not included in the $10 limit. Postage isn't included in the ten dollars. The most important thing to remember with the budget is to have fun, but please do NOT SPEND MORE THAN $10.



Sign ups will close the 31st of July, and names will be paired on the 1st of August and sent out no later than the 2nd of August. (I will try to have all names out on the 1st.)


2. If your pal does not receive her/his package within a reasonable time (7 days max from mailing deadline for within the same country. Then I will need tracking information, 15 days for between countries. There are exceptions, but I MUST be notified of any delays in sending on your end). Failure to comply may result in the following: Being banned for the next month


This is why it is imperative that you keep the hostess informed on ANY mailing issues. Along with negative feedback, you will not be allowed to participate in future secret pal swaps. It is also possible that other coordinators will not allow you to participate in their swaps.

I thought I would share this with Y'all.

For a trick for shipping chocolate in our packages.... place them in freezer for a couple of days and then wrap it up in a couple plastic bags by themselves. I usually ship priorty so even in hot weather they seem to come away ok.

I'm in again. Trying to decide whether to ask for one or two SPs. My "swap" stash box is running over with all kinds of goodies, so might go with two, plus I've been making mug rugs and crocheted scarves that need a good home. At any rate, I'll PM Lori in a little while with my info.

It's been soooo long since I've sewn anything. I just can't wait to make something special for my pal!

Morning all! Hopefully this week will fly by at work. I have to work this weekend and am not looking forward to it. I also found out yesterday by my doctor that my neck x-rays came back showing arthritis on both sides of the neck, more on the left than the right side. It explains why at times it feels a bit stiff yet I can move my neck. Oh well life goes on and am looking forward to August's swap.

I too got this message with my own name but I think it was just a note from her telling us thanks for signing up. When I replied to Lori she said that she was working on getting out the names. At least that's the way I took the PM.

I am almost done with the names but really tired so will finish tomorrow morning. I also wanted to let everyone know that I am having surgery for a hernia repair August 15th. I will get my package out fast this month. I will be in the hospital for at least 5 days, it's a really large hernia and the Dr is closing up layer by layer by layer so will be a painful recovery. So please make it easy on me and make sure to send me your message when you mail your package and when you get your package, it will really help me a lot! Thanks, Lori
