WMUTeach, you are correct. There are only 5 birthdays left. One in December, one in January and three in February.

My apologies to the group for not being available. I had shoulder surgery a month ago and I'm very focused on rehabbing it. My normal routines are thrown off now and I have been remiss with the group. I'll try to do better in the coming weeks.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Wow, this year has flown by too fast!!!

Janice, I'm sorry about your shoulder surgery. Please just focus on healing and resting up.

I can't believe I'm almost in my third trimester with this pregnancy! The Baby is growing so fast and the heartbeat is strong at each appointment. We don't know the gender still, and I can't wait to meet the little one in February!

Janice, please take care of your sweet self! We missed you!
NZ, that is wonderful news, I had no idea. February is a good month for babies, the baby may learn to walk next Christmas/New Year's, ah, all those firsts for the baby book!
Barb, I miss the contests. I'll help if you think of something!
hugs,
dj

Hello everyone

Sorry I have been missing in action. Life is pretty busy lately. My daughter's family all (but 1) got covid. No one ended up in the hospital but my daughter was pretty sick. That is such a helpless feeling not being able to go to help her or her family.
Her family will be done with their quarantine this Thursday.

Meanwhile, my granddaughter on my son's side had a birthday,(THURSDAY) I dropped a present off at their house. Was there for only 20 minutes. Next day my son calls me as I was getting ready for work. Mom I am not feeling well. I am going to get a covid test.(FRIDAY) Now I am in quarantine until my son finds out his results.

Then on Saturday my mom feel again. She went to the hospital. I could not go. My sister was with her. My mom fractured a bone in her spine.. So now she is wearing a back brace. My poor mom she will be 93 next week. The poor woman is in so much pain. Today (Wednesday) she went by ambulance to a rehab center. So far they are covid free. Hopefully it will stay that way. We can only visit at her window.

I hope everyone is staying healthy.

Janice I am glad to see you popped up to say hi after your surgery. I hope you are on the mend.

Barbara, this covid isn't making family togetherness easy, and we need to find anyway possible to keep connected. My 93yo mom is low living with us in AZ. She and my 6yo GD in MD always read when they were able. So now I get them both the same books and they read them together.

Oh, goodness Barbara, you have had quite a year. I keep telling folks that this Covid thing keeps creeping closer and closer to home. I just got a call this week that a granddaughter was exposed at school in a robotics class where everyone works closely together. The whole class is on two weeks quarantine as required by her school and gets a test tomorrow. I will not be seeing that little part of my family for Thanksgiving for sure.

Please care for yourself and your mom as you can. She has had a challenging year too. You are in my prayers for health and peace of mind.

Thanks Linda. I am really tired of covid and I really wish it would pack up and just go away!

Hello everyone

As you all know my mom is in a rehab center to get therapy for her back. She will be there I think at least for a month. Anyway Wednesday is her birthday! I am asking all of my friends if they would like to send her a birthday card. I am hoping for her to get a ton of cards at the rehab that she is in since no one can go in and visit her on her birthday. Only window visits.

I will send everyone her address in a PM. Only if you want to please sen her a card, you can say that you are from the birthday swap and she will know exactly what you are talking about, since I talk about you ladies (and gentleman) often.

I am sending it to all of you since I can't be sure when I will be back on line before Wednesday.

Thanks https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/heart.gif
