well thank you, thank you all for being so nice, and ok i'll do it. i'll go to my local quilt shop and get some pretty fabric and do a simple 9-patch. i'll pick the prettiest black and white fabric they have and that way if my piecing is not so good, at least the fabric will be beautiful. so OK Coletta, count me IN and thanks yall.

Yes there are some very pretty simple blocks you can do. Like my avatar. Simple 9 patch.

I have not done anything yet with my blue and white stars from the last swap so I was holding off joining this one. But I reaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllly want a black and white quilt. So sign me up. I am not sure of the pattern yet. The block of the month for guild next month was a black and white log cabin. So it is the season. I didn't think I had much black and white fabric, but when cleaning out my sewing room to paint, I found quite a bit, so may not even have to go to the store. Darn.
