Thank you all. It is a Jinnie Beyer Windmill with a twist. I wanted more orange so instead of 8 red/8orange, I used 12 orange and 4 red. I'm cautious with her templates, they don't give a lot of instructions so no warnings of what to be careful of or watch for. But they rarely come up short. I had already made this one so I knew a bit of what to watch for but it still came out a bit wonky that I cured with a roll of my cutter!

I feel ya and the instructions Beyer blocks they give me fits too I'm getting close to just not using that site any longer the lack of instrunctions makes working with her templets more difficult than it need to be.

Speaking of more difficult than things need to be my "simple" block and what should have been an easy day in the sewing room didn't go as planned hahahaha big surprise there right? anyway the more I looked at Lstew block the more I hated it there is just something about it that bugs the crap out of me. So instead of re-doing it I chose to take the leftovers and make a bonus block. Don't ask what the hell happened to me and the simplest of quilt math but the first time I made this log cabin I was off by half an inch and yes in order to have enough fabric I had to tear it all out and start all over.

Great log cabin! Those always give me fits. They are harder than they look.

I've been playing with a Bonnie Hunter shirt quilt pattern while I wait for more blocks to show up. This is Carolina Crossroads from Scraps and Shirttails. These are some of one of the two blocks in the quilt. I need 25 of these, then 16 of the alternate blocks and a bunch of setting triangles which are also pieced. The alternate blocks have hourglasses where the rail fence units are in these. I love it that it will be red white and blue. All from recycled shirts.
