I did that w/ Cuppy's fabric a few booms back, used the back side of the fabric as a "third" color.

Reminder, this option remains open for both groups. If anyone finishes early, don't forget you can ship to me early so long as blocks arrive by Sept. 30th. Thank you!

Just an fyi for anyone wanting to mail their completed blocks to me early, you can go ahead and do so as long as they arrive between the 19th and the 30th of September. As always, please let me know in advance that you are shipping so I can make arrangements if I'm going to be out for the day. Thank you!

Sometimes the back of a fabric is the best match. It's a legitimate option. I used the back of a brown print for Jaba's block in the last swap. I couldn't find the right brown despite several attempts at diff LQS's and realized the back of one I had WAS the perfect match.

For his birthday last month, I made my hubby an entire sport shirt with the back of the fabric on the outside! It's a Hawaiian type print and when we lived there it was very common for people to tone down the bright prints by using the wrong side out. Very Hawaiian style.

The "grey" I had was too dark for Libster's block so I used the reverse side.

I've used the back side of fabrics myself when you just can not find exactly what you want. It usually works out very well. I say, whatever works, go for it.
