Kass, hope it's okay to shorten your name. I love your sun, your space quilt and everything about it. Might have to do one of those one of these days. Are you doing the quilt as you go method?

Janice, excited to get the blocks. Thanks for your hard work.

Terri, dancing sounds fun. Too bad all of that grown up stuff gets in the way. hmmmm Like your foot tapping GramE sitting can work great then.

Shortening my name is fine, Kass is what my family call me anyway. The space quilt is going to be great I think, the boomers did a great job on the blocks. Yes QAYG is about the only way I quilt.

Reminder

Most Boomers post pix of the blocks they've made but when you do so, make sure you don't include anything personal in the photo. For example, if you include the note that came with the F8 in the pic, watch that the person's "real" name or address is not on the note. When I posted a fabric to the gallery, I included a Boomer's fabric request with her F8 but I realized before publishing that there was a mailing label on her request. So look over your pix before you post them and make sure nothing personal is shared.

And also, when posting here, please shrink your photos to 200 kb or less for ease of thread loading.

Thanks!

And they have arrived in good shape, Bibliostone. Woo hoo, Boomers!

Well, here is a picture of my three fabrics. Four of the red/snowflake, 10 of the red/orange/purple swirl, and 5 of the butterfly material are ready to mail. The red/orange/purple is what I used on the back of the big purple quilt that Janice posted in the gallery so I have had it for awhile. My hardest part of this boom was deciding what to request with each fabric.

Ok Ladies whats on your design board? What are you working on while you wait patiently for your squishy to arrive?

This is what I'm working on. The top is the beginning of a baby quilt Dr. Seuss's the Lorax fabric line. The bottom is a quilt for a wedding gift. I need to have done by October. it's their first anniversary. I need to find a little bit bigger of a circle to use in the center the one I have is a tad small and the next size I have found is way to big I need to find just right.

but what I really want to play with are boom fabrics :)

Oh my gosh Kass I think that it's going to be wonderful I love what you have so far, and your sun is simply perfect.

Janice -- thank you!!!

Kass -- gorgeous sun and the quilt you are making.

I am going to a quilt show tomorrow so maybe I'll be superinspired to create when I return.

Billi, I do not have a design wall. I have to pick everything up and put it away or the cats will sit upon it. My father-in-law and husband probably wouldnt be too happy with me if I set up a design wall in the dining room. Its bad enough that that is where I put my sewing machines... but we use the cabinets to set up buffets when we have guests so they don't complain too much about the machines in the dining room...

My design wall is those "command hooks" at the top of the wall with clips on them. I attach a flannel backed tablecloth to the clips. You can remove the clips at any time and the hooks are clear so they aren't too visible. Maybe you can try to get away with that.
