Terri, I would love to have a pontoon boat here in Alabama. We are on Perdido Bay and can travel the intercoastal waterways. Our friends have a pontoon that has a bathroom, I couldn't believe it when I saw it!

Cheese several of our friends have bathrooms on their pontoon. Pretty darn nice. The boat dh is looking at doesn’t have a Bimini cover, he said we won’t need it because we can go faster. Told him when we are just leisurely trolling the lake we will need a shade cover. Not interested in going fast all the time.

I splurged on calories today and had "mashed potatoes". I make them from cauliflower and it is amazing. It is a splurge on calories (but not carbs) b/c of all the butter.

I heard you could whip some cooked cauliflower in lieu of white potatoes. People tell me it’s great, but I haven’t tried it yet. How do you make yours, Kass?

Cauliflower, one of the foods I hated until my 40s that I now cannot live without, especially tossed with garlic, evoo, and a little salt and then roasted. Oh my gosh...
So Laters, it appears the last package has made it to the local post office and should arrive today. I’m planning to ship Tuesday or Wednesday. Most if not all of you should have them by the weekend. Woo hoo! |
You know, PamelaOry, that was my goof and I woke up and realized it out of a sound sleep. No, you cannot skip the prewashing. Per the swapping rules of the QB, fabrics are to be pre-washed. That being said, it’s obvious to me - in most cases - which fabrics have been pre-washed, and which have not. I haven’t pushed the issue too much but really, if the QB’s rules are to pre-wash then please pre-wash. Their house, their rules. Honestly, most of the fabrics are loaded with chemicals anyway and some swappers have sensitivities to them. And, as I said earlier, I had fabrics shrink right before my eyes when dampened with starch. Had I made a block with them and decided to press with a little starch or steam, the block could have shrunk and good-bye perfect 12 1/2 inch square. Pre-washing the fabric you send, as well as those you use on the blocks you make for other is just a plain good idea.
