NZ - Alida is beautiful! I'm sorry your husband got sick. That's no fun when you don't get to be with him a whole lot as it is.

Janice - yay for Ernie and his new home!! What a journey that pup has been on. I'm glad you and your DH are part of his story now. It looks like my package will be the last one to get to you. I hope it arrives as it is scheduled to do. How was PT. Common girl, show us that muscle!

Sewbizgirl, it sounds like you are working out as well getting those home repairs done. Time for a muscle building competition amoungst the BOOMers?

I am just reading through your group this morning and find this odd comment on the bottom of ibex’s post…. I have never seen a comment like that… is this something new? To report a post and why?

I’ve never seen the link like that to report a post although the option in the form of an icon is always there to the left. Very odd.

Hav, had to look up OPLL. As someone who has spinal issues, you have my fondest wishes that it doesn’t lead to another surgery. Gentle hugs for you.

I believe what happened is that when copying that the online button and red triangle (for reporting post) got copied. The online button and report post icons are at the bottom of the box on the left of the post with the user name and other info. It is kind of tricky to copy things and not get extra stuff like that. I just tried to copy her original post and realized how easy it is to get that last line "ibex94 is online now Report Post" copied. (If you are copying and pasting something that has a link, it will paste the link.) I was able to not include the link by just typing it as seen and not by pasting it.

Ah.... Thank you OurWorkbench. Cutting and pasting messages is not something that I normally do and worse yet, I'm on a Mac and I am definitely struggling with that software. I copied that alert icon f'sure.

Did I get reported? I'd love to imagine myself as a troublemaker.

This sounds awful! I hope you are able to get nonsurgical relief soon.

Question for everyone: So how to adjust a pattern so that there is a 1/4" seam above the point on the edge of the block? The pattern is "Twisting Star" on Quilter's Cache. I couldn't get my purple points to have a 1/4" seam above them so they could be sashed. All the points looked like the one in the pattern but I want my points instead of a seam cutting them off. Do you think longer and taller trapezoids might do it? https://www.quilterscache.com/T/TwistingStarBlock.html

The second page of this pattern has some links to quilts made by others using the pattern. Some of the quilts were adjusted to add two of the boundaries as sashing and the others all had chopped points. The upshot is that the pattern was intended to have chopped points.

So how to adjust it to make it have those edge points have an extra 1/4"?

Well definitely not by me….I enjoy reading through all your posts! Just thought it was weird. I use my ipad mostly but I have a Mac that I haven’t 100% bonded with…probably because I just don’t spend enough time with it.

I got a great suggestion via PM on how to foundation paper piece this pattern so I could add the border at the end with the extra fabric as needed. I will give it a try! Thank you!
