Terri, love your Santa wallhanging! I have a few Christmas decorations put out and a small, decorated tree. It's fun to come one back in late December to enjoy the season just a little bit longer,
The car is packed and we will be leaving tomorrow, we travel for two days spending one night in Paducah KY. Because we travel with a cat, I haven't been to the quilt museum. Someday, I hope. Cheese |
Terri, your Santa wall hanging is terrific, with or without a face!
Cheese, will you be able to stop by Hancocks of Paducah? For me, that's an even bigger draw than the Quilt Museum. (Did I just say that out loud?) Today I will resume the Boom tops I'm putting together. Waiting on ordered fabric to finish the first Party Animals top, but I can do something else with the rest of the blocks for the second PA quilt. And the yellow, very yellow, Bee quilt is underway. Using NZ's layout with 3" sashing is making a HUGE, bedsize quilt. I may rethink it and break it up into two couch quilts, especially since they will be for charity. We'll see.... Hope everyone is having a nice week, so far. |
Terriamn -- very festive hanging!! I wish I was out there skating with santa!

Cheese we will be on the road at the same time. Be safe and and try to stay warm. It is going to be darn cold for all of us.

Good morning. Brrrr. It’s 21 degrees, too cold for me. Cheese and Terriamn, be safe on your long journeys! Terriamn, I completely missed your fun Santa wall hanging. It’s darling. Congrats on a lovely finish.
Today is grand girls day. We’ll head up to Asheville to spend a few hours with them while their parents work. I wonder what they’ll have in store for us today. Maybe I’ll make some banana bread for them for their dessert. I’m in the mood to bake something. The grey Boom 32 blocks are still untouched on the design wall. They aren’t talking to me at all but my candy squares are yelling up a storm to make something with them. The boom blocks may just have to wait. Stay warm everyone! |

Before I put them away for a while, here are the 2 sets of blocks from this Boom. Thank you! I think they’re in the arrangements I’m going with but it’s likely to change. Time to clean up a bit and then pull out something else.

This is not a finished quilt, just my blocks laid out to see how well they play together. They are beautiful, thank you everyone! Thought you would enjoy seeing your work!

Bright and cheery, SBG. I look forward to seeing the blocks become a quilt!

I pulled out a Candy top to quilt. It’s overdue and is small’ish. Hope to get it done by the weekend. |
Sewbiz and Janice all the blocks together look amazing! What great blocks! Good job everyone! Good luck with the sashing and quilting. I know you both will get these quilts done sooner than I will get any of mine done.
