It's also amazing to see the different squares that can be made out of the same fabric, what each person chose as the accent color! |
Received fabrics from dawsontracy35, goldendog55, Jupiter and OdessaQuilts.

Anyone have any ideas? Also, I am glad everyone seems to like my green. I can't believe I found it at Joann's! I hope to start on blocks next weekend. Busy busy busy, but this way people will still be getting squishies in the mail over the next month or two. :D |

knl,
I would make an embroidery design that fits in a 6.5" square and then use blocks that have a big center-like an 8 pointed star. Hope this helps in some way. hugs April |
I got two more F8's from dawson.tracy35 andknlsmith. Started working on blocks to fly back home. So much fun seeing and feeling all the pretty materials.
|
Ksea your block to Wendsy is delightful, the colors just pop.
I love your hole in the barn door it looks out onto a field of sunflowers. Fryguy, I got your block today, it's gorgeous. I will post a picture as soon as I can. Got f8's from Dawson, beautiful rose print, Knlsmith, a lovely green on green, and a orange with kids playing from Quiltlin. |

Fryguy, you hit the Mother lode, those blocks are gorgeous, breath taking. The first one just jumps off the screen, I don't think the second one,s color combo would have even occurred to me but it is perfect, and I love the pattern, the third one is also a perfect match. You guys did a wonderful job.
Fryguy you are going to have a wonderful quilt. Awesome. |

Okie dokie!
The following grownup blocks are ready to go back to their mommies in the morning: knlsmith, odessaquilts, dawson.tracy35. :) Tracy, your block was a l'il stinker! ;) First she wouldn't talk to me, but as soon as I opened the door where my fabric stash is, she immediately pointed to one fabric in particular. I told her sorry, that I was saving that fabric for another project, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. She was right, though. The fabric had her name all over it! So, in the end, she won. ;) Hope you like how she turned out! And here are the two blocks missgigglewings sent me! Aren't they pretty! |

I got 2 beautiful blocks in the mail today.
Wendsy- from the one you sent I never would've guessed batiks aren't your thing. It's wonderful! Ksea- I can see why you'd want to keep the block! It's wonderful. I appreciate the border fabrics... I'll let them sit together for a while and work out what they want me to do. from Wendsy from Ksea - with border fabric options |
Wow Moonrise your quilt is busy, but very beautiful. Miss Giggles your blocks are wonderful. MegsAnn, both of those blocks are spectacular. It's amazing to me how people read the material so differently from others. Wendsy went with light batiks, and ksea went with the darks. When I took psychology they said you could read a person from the color choices they chose, I can't remember a thing from it mow. 20 years ago. lol
|
LOL moonrise, I am afraid she gets that from her owner... a little shy at first then when she sees something she wants, she doesnt take no for an answer!!! I wouldn't know anyone like that at all. Just dont ask my husband, lol!
I am so excited to see your block. I have set the whole day today aside just to play with all my squishies. Other than wood puttying holes in my floor so i can lay tile, I have nothing on my agenda for the day. I sent my first block out yesterday to Kathy N. Hope you like it! It wanted to stay here but I set it free... back to mama. Tracy |
