I gave up on the remaining 3 blocks and made one of my own for the quilt I'm making now. I've decided this type of swap is too drawn out for me. I like to have short deadlines...It's been fun seeing all of your talent though!

I accidentally cut a couple blocks too small. The easy fix is to cut off a little bit more and then add another strip to the block. Added design feature and an easy save!

1. I have some rose blocks that i don't know who sent them to me. My daughter said she would help me post the blocks I have gotten. Hopefully in the next couple of days. I am missing 5 blocks. I haven't forgotten anyone. These are the ones i have left to send. Goldendog Jupiter Knismith Moonrise Purplemen Quiltinggirl 80 Quiltingturtle Quiltin Shaysmema have both done and leaving tomorrow. I have learned one thing doing this I just fussy cut the second block. And i will never do it again. For the second time i am struggling to make something out of it because i screwed it up. Went 2 places today trying to get some of the fabric and can't find it anywhere. If anyone out there has any of Goldendogs fabric left and would send it to me i would be grateful. I haven't asked her because i know she probably needs all she has left. I was trying to get her 3 done because i have 4 done and wanted to get them sent to her. When i cut my blocks i cut them to small by 1/2 inch. Stupid me. I knew better. I promise I am keeping better records with no. 4 I have learned my lesson. |

Karen & knl I am sorry that the swap was not as fun for you as it could have been. I do understand how you feel and hope to swap with you both in the future some time :-) As for those of you who all have the same list-I am working on it. I know mbogenpohl is working on hers as is Odessa. I am sending an envelope to new2quilting to get the fabrics and get them back to you all. I am excited i am sending my last 2 blocks out tomorrow. At least the blocks i got f8s for. I am still waiting on newtoquilting and mbogenpohl (she is sending me 3 and 4). Tomorrow Goldendogs blocks from 3 and 4 and my f8 for 4 is going out and goldengirl80.
I still am missing 5 of my blocks. Maybe they will come sometime. I want to thank everyone for such beautiful blocks!!!!! I am making some 6 inch blocks to offset the rows. |
