I'm sorry for your loss. My dad died 4 years ago when I was 24. I miss him so much every day. Yesterday was super hard, but it does ease a bit. Your kids were blessed to know their grandpa, my DD never met hers.
Anyway on a positive note welcome back to the insanity gal288 |

What a wonderful witness of love in action you were for your children and countless others. Our parents often need us nearer as the end of their lives approach and I think that when we step up to the plate and display that love and caring we are often times the recipients of even greater blessings. My Mom will be 89 next month. I see the changes and I am trying to enjoy her as much as possible. When she complains I do too much I simply remind her how much she did for me as I grew up. I think it is the very least I can do and I think I will deal with her final going home to Jesus better because I have been there for her now, here when she needed me. Losing my father suddenly 25 years ago has made me treasure these years with mom all that much more. I will pray for you but you will heal well. You have the right attitude and you have done the right thing.
I remain....faithfully....IHS, KT, KT the quilting lady

I'm ready to get rolling now. For those of you who don't know, I was caring for my Dad, who was on hospice since Easter, here in my home. He passed on 6/10, at peace now with my Mom. Funeral was held this past week, last of out of state and country company left this morning. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But the most personally fulfilling, giving back to a parent in their time of need is God's way. It's amazing how we never stop giving our kids life lessons. I learned so much from my Dad during this time, & interesting, my kids learned from me. At the funeral, both my son & daughter told my husband & I how much they learned from watching us over the past 4 years caring for Grandpa. How they hope they can be the kind caring people were are. I didn't even think about how our actions were being observed for those around us. We did what had to be done out of love and respect, not for acculades. So remember everyone, your kids are always observing and learning, no matter what their age. Mine are in their 40's! Now down to business, Monday is dedicated to getting my F8's cut and mailed and begin working on all the beautiful fabric I have received. I finally got a chance to look at all the beautiful blocks that have been done, amazing talent out there! I think I now have the edge of seeing what has been done and hopefully complimenting the blocks. Thanks for listening. |

Nancia - A block coming your way. Dove in the window. I liked your pretty green print. I had some greens that I thought would set it off. OATW13 - You had such a bright beautiful print, that to show it off, I chose a churn dash block. It will be in the mail today or tomorrow. |
I have your block finished and a new f8 tucked in for you. I hope to get it mailed out sometime this week. Maybe Friday since I am going to be off. Hopefully it will arrive there safe and sound.
