I received all F8's, will be finishing up blocks this weekend, my sewing machine is in the shop, should be out tomorrow, my back up machine is on loan out to a friend and my Embroidery machine, which also is a great sewing machine is busy making cute embroideries. But all should be back to normal on the sewing front tomorrow afternoon.

It's just a hint, but I love machine embroidered blocks!:)

I just wanted to let everyone know that Lovingizabella (April) is having shunt replacement surgery today. She didn't find out until yesterday. She'll probably be home by Sunday. I think it would be nice, that if you want, we could each send her a card and surprise her with cards, since she can't work for a couple of weeks. It'll give her something to do! You can PM me if you need her address.

The only problem is that I don't know how to put the names of the people who made them. I thought that if I saved them with your names, that they would show them, but I guess not. Any ideas?

PS My husband actually mailed my finished blocks yesterday. I had put $.65 on each legal size envelope. The Postal clerk asked her supervisor, and she said we needed an additional $.20/envelope for hand stamping since they were too thick to go through the machine. Amazes me how different PO's charge different amounts and/or interpret the PO rules differently!!

Karen, I know what you mean, and I hate the fact that if one says it's ok why would the other one add additional Charges. I get irritated with our local post office, They will smack me with 20 cents on a lot of my blocks coming home.

It is not the fault of the sender it is the fault of the post office's not being consistant. Really bugs me, but being easy going person I am I have a collection of pennies for just that occassion! Normally I am not mean spirited, but giving them pennies is my way of equalling the universe!

Yaya did you get mine last week or so? I had mailed you a finished one with the firefighter fabric.

I finished a block for Lv2sew2011. Peek if you can't wait. I have made all except the one for areinn, which I have not received a f8 from.

I don't think I have received it. Can you post a picture of it? (I used the firefighter fabric in last swap as well and I may have mixed it up with those blocks.)

I received a beautiful block yesterday from Karen ~ Yaya, I love it, I am posting pictures in my albums. I found some of the lost pictures of blocks I took. They were in a camera that my sister gave me, problem is I haven't a clue how to get them out of the camera! I bought a 8GB disc to put in the camera to remove pictures, but the thing is stuck in the formatting mode! I now know why she gave me the camera! LOL. She calls me a geek, but with out the manual and with out the cable, it is kinda hard to be able to use camera!

Just checking in and letting everyone know what's going on with me...
I've been sick off and on and just haven't felt like dealing with sewing, plus I'm trying to finish up a Sun Bonnett Sue Quilt for my mom and a few other swaps, I had to go to the hospital the other night and I have Bronchitis, but feeling a little better today! I hope to finish up my moms quilt and a few other swaps and then I will start cutting the rest of my F8 and get them in the mail. I will get your blocks to you before the deadline I promise and I hope to have the rest of my F8's mailed by the end of the month...I have some of your F8's done and will be mailing them on the 15th, I'm working on them when I feel like sewing, my back is giving me a lot of pain and now I have Bronchits. Been to the hospital twice this month and to the Dr. Office twice, this month has been bad for me with the change of the weather going up and down. The weather is why I'm having issues with my back, they give me pain medicine and the darn stuff makes me sleep a lot. So I'm praying for good weather or at least stay the same...LOL

lv2sew2011--no worries--get yourself feeling better!! Your health is most important! There is plenty of time for the boom swap blocks to get done! I had a bad health year last year, so I know how it is when you don't feel well, and you don't even feel like sewing, even though you normally love sewing. Give yourself time to heal, and your sewing mojo will return!! Take care!

Well, I wasn't able to work on my moms quilt today, some how it shifted and now I have to remove about 12 quilted rows and I just didn't feel like messing with Mr. Seam ripper today...:(, so I was able to finish up some blocks to send back home and finish cutting all my F8's now just got to mail them. But I don't want to get out into the weather it's like 30+ right now, until I get over my Bronchitis. Plus I don't want to give the crap to any one else....

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Too many health problems to handle at once! The only f8 I haven't received is from areinn. I have received these blocks, but just haven't posted them before.
