I think could figure out how to do the paper piecing, but not the extra cute bits. :)

looks like the embellishments are just tabby things that are inserted while you do the paper piecing.

Dude, you take care of yourself, don't over do it or you might just end up with a curly wee tail and a snout. ;-)

Is mine too similar to what you wanted to do? sorry if it is! Maybe we can both change a little bit to make them different. Different fabrics will make them unalike too. :-)

blueribbontoes, if you have a handle on paperpiecing, that chicken would be awesome! I *think* all you have to do is fold the "extra" bits like oragami, maybe whack in a tacking stitch to hold it together, then place them where they're going to go and sew just like normal paper piecing. I can picture it in my head, just not too good at explaining sorry!

Cher- go ahead an steal the idea if you like. I haven't made those chickens. That was a cute block I found online. I started my blocks, and I need to finish those before starting any more chickens! :)

Blue Chicken-

If and when I finish my current projects I may have to attempt those chickens. Thanks for the explanation!

No Blue I was going to do an embroidered chicken on a pieced background but I love what you did with yours and I am really hoping I get a Blue one  Cher
