LOLOLOL!!!!! SheriR and you all are so funny .... this group and the swaps we do are exciting ... like today I got my second block swap in the mail and two quilt mag's lololol ... was like Christmas in February ... and no bills :) thanks for letting me be part of this fun group ... and my sister SheriR is the bestest sister ever!!!!! :)

Fabric picked out, washed, ironed, cut and blocks partially sewn. I am trimming the 1/2 square triangles to their 2 1/2 inches right now. I am having fun and can't wait to see the first blocks coming together.

I am excited about this block as well. I am all Dresden'd out.....looking forward to spring by any means! (though I really can't complain aobut the weather)

Thanks for the kind comments. I think they will play nice with the other blocks that were already posted. I will be sewing on the other ones tonight and hope to get most of them put together. This is a really fun block to show case any fabric in. I have a feeling I will be using this pattern again for future quilts.

All my boom blocks are done so I plan on starting these tomorrow (actually today I guess :) ) I'm looking forward to this swap.

Show off :shock: LOL well actually I only have one more Boom block to do and that should get done today , well after I get dressed, go to work for a couple hours , then I will come home and do the Boom block- then I can press the birds and start fussy cutting :)

Sent my blocks on Friday. I hope I got enough postage stamps in there. If not, let me know ASAP.

Blocks came, oh my....they are really nice. My first though was spring in the early morning just as the sun hits the dew on the plants. The blocks are beautiful....at least I think so.....I am going to love the contrast they will make.

Yea, I did not go with the traditional "springy" colors. My blocks reminded me of just the beginning of Spring. Can't wait to see all the varieties.

Right off the top of my head I think there are 15 blocks coming in. A couple of quilters are doing two sets.

Looks like we have a nice group. Love the pic's all are lovely, i have washed ,pressed and cut will be sewing this weekend. I love spring time of the year. Will check back soon.

And with the snow coming down in my area today - perfect for hunkering down at the sewing machine to finish blocks! They are due March 31, I wish all could be in by that date (Saturday) so I can swap and ship out the following Monday! We all want real spring to come - weather-wise would be nice, but perhaps the quilt blocks will have to do! My daffodils and early spring flowers are up and have buds on them....and now the snow is coming down pretty fast!

I made a couple of versions of my block while I was there trying out different color variations. I've made my decision so now that I'm back I'll be making the rest soon and getting them mailed off.
