I received a wonderful package from Crafty Darlene yesterday. I returned home from a memorial service for a dear friend who died suddenly, to find a large package waiting for me. I opened it this morning, and what a wonderful collection of items were revealed! A quilt kit -- yes, you read that right -- an entire quilt kit all ready to be cut and sewn, coordinating FQs, Christmas towel and elf statue and notepads, two books, bookmark, butterfly noteholder, Reisen candy, and flavoured decaf coffee. Thank you Darlene, for such a wonderful bounty!

I came home from church to upload a picture of all the wonderful stuff that she (Belfrybat) Brigit-Carol gave to me! LOL! Love the Texas Tablerunner, so very cute even my little Grandkids commented on it! Love my homemade goodies and every little thing that she sent! Here is my fantastic package from sewdamncute. I am overwhelmed, yet again, by Darlene's generosity - more than I could possibly deserve!! It was like the Twelve days of Christmas - only more!

As you can see from the pictures, I got not one, but THREE cones of Superior thread, black Aurifil thread (most wanted), TWO jelly rolls of 'Laundry Basket' batiks - which are simply delicious - a set of Hanky Panky FQs, THREE pairs of Christmas socks, my all-time favourite ripper (Darlene is surely a mind-reader) and the most beautiful ornaments she got in Lancaster.

Special mention must go to the adorable key ring hand sanitiser she made, along with the most wonderful pin cushion, pictured here with the fantastic patterns I got.

Off topic: I mentioned to Lori that was a little worried about my parcel (posted on 5th) as usually it takes longer to come here from y'all than it does to send to you - not the case at the moment! Got my pkg today from Terri Qualley though I don't have her board name THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love the box since I do collect storage boxes, the green dot fabric is just cute! The Hershey's bar will be used tomorrow morning for my hot chocolate, I plan on making chocolate curls with whipped cream! The gift tags were so much needed and you saved me a trip especially today when I know it will be so full of shoppers! The caramel apple cider will be used as well tomorrow and I just love the lotion you sent. That is a new scent I have not tried! If there is anything else I've forgotten I apologize! THANK YOU AGAIN! OH ANDHE CRAFTY BUCKET!!! IT IS BEING USED ALREADY!

I received an awesome package from Gaijin today. Trying to get my camera to work with the board to post pic. But, It was just wonderful opening this box up. I received a home made iron caddy, which I was wanting something fierce. Had the pattern printed off of the internet and just never could get to making it. Like a kid in a candy store. I received an ornament that is too cute. Made out of a pine cone. large pieces of 2 different fabrics, almost too cute to use. Chocolate for my addiction. Chicken bites for my big baby dog and my grand dog. Which they want to say thank you too. They have already been munching down on them. A really soft, did I say soft, lap throw. I think I covered everything. Awesome package! Thank you so much!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! I have to share some great news...well let's see if the photos can explain...yes I AM ENGAGED!!!! This happened on Christmas Eve and what a gift not just from my boyfriend but from my daughter who knew all along! Good morning all! Lori and Knitette thank you for the congrats! I could never be so happy to be with my fiancee Victor. Lori, yes it is always good to see a pic behind the name and thank you for the comment on the ring. I must say he did well, lol! :o Everyone who hasn't received a package yet I hope it comes in soon this week. With all of the severe weather up north I could imagine how behind they must be.

I was just checking to see if a January Secret Pal Swap was posted. Was hoping to return and play along. Life has slowed down a bit. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Thank you all for your congratulations. No wedding date is set yet. My daughter will be marrying Jan. 2015 and I want her to enjoy her engagement and the process leading to her wedding first and foremost :) We'll probably have a small gathering with close friends and family but right now I'm focused on my daughter, she deserves the best and has a wonderful fiancée!
