PS: what is a good source for temtex? I have inquired at JoAnn's and so far, they don't carry it. Also, Would 2 pieces of heavy Pellon work?

I've used stiff felt, works as well and a lot less expensive. I have temtex if you need some pm me. Try the double pellon, it will probably be fine!

Dotty, your post cards are so cute!!

jillnjo 09-13-2011 02:58 PM

Dotty, you made wonderful postcards and I'm trying to get some ideas myself!! Maybe we'll be partners!

DogHouseMom 09-13-2011 03:35 PM

Argh. I need to get to work on this. First on the agenda ... ideas!!!

I do have a question though. Does the reverse of the post card have to look like the reverse of a post card (ie place for address etc)?

SewExtremeSeams 09-13-2011 04:07 PM

Dotty... Great cards!

Yikes! I am stumbling over 'fear of failure'. Guess I will just have to take a plunge and see what I come up with.

pjnesler 09-13-2011 04:22 PM

SEW cute Dottie - these are wonderful!

dotcomdtcm 09-13-2011 05:17 PM

This is not hard. Have fun.

If you want to place your card inside an envelope to mail, you do not need to have the back marked for an address or stamp.

OK! I'm in! Now just to get some ideas! We can do postcards and or ATC's I assume. Just reread so I see it can be either & just limited by size.

OK - I've gone one almost done. Need to back it and quilt it but the front is done :)

Now I need an idea for the second one. The one that is my love of sewing. Thinking ... thinking ....

Will posts pic's when I've got them both done.

dotcomdtcm 09-14-2011 05:18 PM

I suggest you write up a few sentences about your love of sewing. How did you start? Where have your interests taken you? Share.

These postcards are wonderful. I am totally intimidated and am not even sure what stiff felt is. All the felt I have seen is pretty limp. How creative you all are!!! I will be enjoying seeing all the beautiful cards!

Julie, I am just going to use a layer or two of heavy Pellon. That should work. Hope that encourages you. :-D

calla 09-15-2011 04:31 PM
