I did a postcard swap with another group about a year ago and really got into them. I have a tote filled with all kinds of stuff to make the PC's and I can't wait to see the pictures of the ones you ladies make.

We look forward to having you join in on the fun!

Here's another site for clear envelopes:

http://www.cellobags-clear.com/cellobags/L6B.htm#

Scroll down to the various sizes. Not a bad price -- - -

Remember you only need to use the clear envelopes if you've used A LOT of embellishment that you think would get caught in the PO equipment. It's fine to send by itself. Slap on a stamp and send it on it's way!

So much fun!!!

This is true, but for my OWN personal preference I like to send
ALL my FPC in the envelopes.

Reason is because from prior experience MANY of my past cards
got, damaged, dirty, etc... by the time they reached their destinations.

So all the work I put into them was wasted because of handling. Even
had a few that did machine embroidery designs and the stitches got
snagged which ended up destroying the embroidery design.

But like you said you don't HAVE to put them in envelopes unless there
is decorations that can/will be knocked off or damaged by the postal
machines.

I'm like jeanie49--got several things going on but I would love to do this later, too.

oksewglad - so nice to have you stop by, my friend! How are the mini's coming along? Hope you're putting those little pieces to good use.

As long as there is sufficient interest, I plan on offering this every month. So, we'll see. .. . . .

Just chiming in with a different opinion I like the postcards however they appear the wear and tear of travel does not bother me. I belong to Postcrossing a postcard exchange site with people all over the world (purchased cards 99%of those in this swap prefer not to get homemade cards) anyway I love all the cards I receive but something about the well traveled ones just seems to tell that much more of the story. And I like having the postmark and stamp on the actual card.

However a card is sent to me I will be delighted to receive it.

I do agree with you. I would rather have a worn, well traveled card, with all the bumps and bruises to it. lol... It just gives it that oomph for me instead of like a perfect card like you buy. I will also like whatever card I get. :)

I'm working on my FPC and am trying to make a PPed leaf. I have an image in my mind of how I want this to look. Aaaahhh - the challenges of creativity. It certainly balances out my work life; the 'ol left brain right brain thing. Hope everyone is coming along well.

Any questions, ideas, etc. just holler!
