SulaBug, I will post a picture of your quilt tonite, as I just didn't get everything quite done yesterday for mailing today. There is one little extra that needs some prep to send...I hope you enjoy him...some little critter turning into a Traveler.

Janis 02-16-2010 08:55 PM

crazyquilternc I've got your quilt done!!! Except for the label on the back, that is. I hope to get it in the mail to you on Wed. Just don't look too close, it's not perfect. I'm learning something more on each little quilt I do. Hopefully I'm getting better at some of these things.

STAR 02-17-2010 04:28 AM

shadow that quilt is lovely

gaigai 02-17-2010 05:00 AM

Shadow, that is one gorgeous little quilt!!!! I love the embroidery and the block!! WOW (drool)! May I ask the name of that block? I have some fabric that would look great in that pattern. Not with the embroidery, because I am too stoopid to do that, but the pieced block is beautiful too! LOL

tlrnhi 02-17-2010 05:04 AM

Shadow!! That's too cute!!
How come I wasn't your partner?? CHELE!!!!!!! lol

Oh and Chele....I told you if you want to post my quilt pictures, you have to send me your stash! lol

Chele 02-17-2010 05:15 AM

I used it all Terri. I have been VERY busy! LOL!

wvdek..I am so sorry you are not well. I hope you get to feeling better soon. It must be awful not to feel like quilting.

The least I can do is post your quilt picture for you. That way it will be shared with all the others here.

So everybody....here is the little chocolate and pink mini quilt I made for wvdek.

tuesy 02-17-2010 07:50 AM

What a "sweet" quilt missgiggles... I love the chocolate and pink...

Shadow Dancer 02-17-2010 08:06 AM

jljack 02-17-2010 08:16 AM

Wow, Shadow, that little quilt is soooo pretty. Very nice!! And Miss Giggles...those hearts are very sweet, and I love the color combination. Pink and brown is a favorite in our family of girls right now!! All the little quilts are all so pretty and clever!!!

skowjudy 02-17-2010 09:42 AM

I'm sure I will love it. This is so much fun.

Rhonda 02-17-2010 10:47 AM

Shadow I just love your little quilt!! I might have to try that one!

Missgigglewings that quilt is so sweet!

Janis 02-17-2010 12:45 PM

Shadow, I love your Redwork! Did you do that by hand or by machine? I'd love to do one for myself. Can you share where you got the pattern for it? If not, that's OK too. Thanks.

The embroidery was done by machine, I don't know where I got the designs though. lol

I have the Janome 200E embroidery machine. :)

Oh these quilts are all just too cute. It must be a "heart" month, hehe. Is someone going to put the screws to sewjoyce to make her tell how she did those hearts? Inquiring minds want to know, really bad. Shadow, I love the combination of the red and black w/the embroidery. I think this swap is especially great for those who have never done a mini because we truly accept each one as a gift from the heart, not concentrating on the 'perfectness' (is that a word?) but on the thought and time spent in making our partner something so special from our life to theirs. It's the smile and the excitement when the package comes and, for me, the tears when I realized that this beautiful little work of art was for me, just for me. Challenge yourself for March, you won't regret it.

What great quilts. Everyone is so creative. I hope to have mine finished this weekend Gaigai.

Chele 02-17-2010 05:10 PM

sunkistmi, yer gonna make me cry! All of our quilts are very special. I hope anyone who joins in our fun realizes that. There's a new sign up by the way!

Some of us may not be perfect quilters (me!), but we do pour our heart and soul into these little quilts. And I have to applaud everyone for loving and gushing over these beauties. You all make me proud to be a part of this wonderful group. Thank you for being so supportive and positive!

Janstar 02-17-2010 05:15 PM

All of the little quilts are so special. You have all done a great job on them! Pat yourselves on the back!!!!!!!!!

OK Wendy, I'll tell how I made my quilt -- don't hurt me

The heart blocks were made with my embroidery machine using cotton varigated thread.....Does that help???

sandpat 02-17-2010 05:39 PM

Well..yes...the varigated thread hint that you dropped....is helpful...but....*where is that power screwdriver....*..
