Brat, I cut two fat quarters off a piece of Mardi Gras-type fabric. It was a Hoffman from some years ago. Then I mixed that with golds, purples and green-dyed fabric. I think my partners will like it. I'll probably put some Mardi Gras beads in the box, though. You know, some Lagniappe (look that up in your Funk and Wagnel).

All those colors and beads traveling around ... should be a grand ol' marching time!

and those are my babies. they never sit still long enough for me to get a good photo. of course I am incredibly slow. Louie *lucifer is the one who hides in my cupboards. scares the living daylights out of me to open it and have someone looking back. that cupboard he goes 10 feet up and then opens it from the top and enters.I walk by close it thinking I left it open .. two hours later go to open it and tada! five years off my life.

I have 5 cats but only 1 is curious and adventerous! Lily Pie is my quilting buddy and one day I was putting groceries away and I turned back to the fridge and what did I see? Lily Pie!!!

too funny. I ran a kitten rescue. I had over a dozen at any given time bottle feeding til adoptable age. One night I was putting them all to bed in their crates and lost one. I looked and looked we had cupboards open couches raised on end under the bed with broom handles where the heck was the guy. figured he was napping somewhere good. went for something in the fridge the poor little guy was sitting there looking frozen. I felt like a horrible mom. I guess when I had last used it he had snuck in and well.. so glad I went back in the fridge. last place hell wasnt even looking there for him. he was such a tiny one maybe 4 to 5 weeks old. they would follow us like duckies in a row when we took them outside for an outing. miss those little ones. just not energized enough to do them right. did find this photo not to bore the cat haters out there but it was too cute to not post

Well, since we are getting out our "brag" books, here are mine. My old guy, Rocky, is feeling cold these days, so when he has to go out, he gets all rugged up! He also sleeps with us( but in his own bed-sometimes!) and gets covered up with a Snuggie!

Thanks! He is truly the love of my life, but don't tell the rest of my family!! LOL. He was adopted just before my youngest left the nest, so he has become my third baby (DH is just as nuts as I am!) - Poor dog doesn't know he is a dog!!

You guys you really made me smile from little to huge, six toed babies to cold toe mutts.. it was such a treat seeing all the animals. We could run a commercial here with our pet photos look at all the ones that FOUND homes that are not being abused that are fed regularly and loved always. These photos have been brought to you by the Quilters of America Pet Foundation.

I would jump on board with that! I have 3 dogs and 5 cats ALL are shelter or rescue animals. We foster for our local animal shelter too

First time the FQ swap,sign me up for one.

I bottle fed over 300 kittens in three years and found homes for almost as many. Kept a few, some didnt make it but it gives me so much joy to hear from someone who adopted and still is enjoying their babies so much. Under 2 lbs they were putting them to sleep, if they couldnt fend for themselves they dont have the space or care avail for the kittens so without fosters.. so many wont make it. Spring is just a few weeks away and the influx will begin again. so sad.

I just got my names!!! yippee Thank you so much for all the work Brenda. I couldnt have better luck this month. I was just thinking of my partner today and well here I receive the news. its a grand paring. oh wait! I have two! I think my 'other' partner is going to get a kick out of my fabrics. hope I am hitting it on the nail with her selections. they will go out in the mail tomorrow. so by this weekend they should have them for sure. tada!
