Okay. Stupid question. How is a mini quilt different than a mug rug? Is there an album of a completed swap? I am considering joining, but not sure I am competent enough!

Our minis range from 6-18 inches. Most are ending up 10-12 ish. Most everyone includes a hanging sleeve, but it's not required. You can applique, piece, thread paint, do whole cloth...any technique you choose. You can take a peek at last months swap to see what was made then. IMHO, if you can make a quilt block, sandwich, quilt and bind it. You have all the ability you need to join this swap. The fun part is creating!

I'm afraid I'd be way out of my league with you all here. These mini-quilts are wonderful! Everyone of them a work of art! Maybe someday when I am bit more confident. Have fun ladies!

I think you could do this! I had the same questions. Still sort of do. I'm don't see the difference in a "miniature" and a "wall hanging". At least in their piece size, maybe miniature quilts have miniature pieces and wall hangings are just small quilts/less normal size pieces-blocks?

Anyway, like tlambing said, if you can cut, sew, sandwich and bind, join! I'm hoping to practice and learn new skills while I make mine. My goal is to fill my sewing room/office wall with them this year!

(If you made your avatar, you certainly could join.)
