I woke up early (2:30!) to be able to get to the post office before they closed. Card has finally been sent out. It would have been much easier if I had finished it before some days off...

I am posting my card that I sent to LindaC. Yes there is such a thing as pink footed flying geese. I got a head start for March postcard practicing my paper piecing.

J50 I love your paperpiecing fabric post card you sent LindaC. Pretty on both sides.

j50, Great card! Your flying geese are just beautiful. And, it's double sided, very unique.

Hi everyone finally received my post card from R-Sea it is so much more beautiful in person and she also sent me a book mark that she made and sent me information on where she lives it sounds like a very wonderful place to visit. I will post picture soon.

Thank goodness , Armylady2012, I wonder where it's been . I am wondering how long J50 will have to wait for hers

My husband went by the post office about an hour ago, and I received my post card from Sleepy Hollow. She created a beautiful star out of the selvedges sewn onto a dark background, and sent a very pretty batik fat quarter. Thank you very much, and my husband will try to put up a picture on here either tonight or tomorrow.

We didn't get to the post office a few days earlier due to weather.

Great card JuneBillie, I can't imagine using those tiny selvage pieces to make a star. Very clever.

JuneBillie 03-11-2018 06:49 PM

Judith I was amazed at seeing that star. It showed me the type of things that could be made out of them. There are some glares in the photos due to lighting against the clear envelope it is in.

My husband also likes the beauty in the batik. :)
I think someday I need to make him a lap quilt out of batiks.

Judith1005 03-11-2018 07:04 PM

I agree JuneBillie, the Batik is very pretty. I like the subtle patterns and variation of colors that batiks have. I don't have too many in my stash. Just a small handful. But, they are nice to work with.

A lot of work went into making the star out of selvedges Well done Sleepy Hollow
