February Postcard Swap - Selvages! or Red, White, Pink
 

This year I am hosting a variety of themes. Sign-ups begin for the February postcard swap. You will be making One Fabric Postcard.

There will be two themes this month:

1. You will design a postcard around a fabric selvage; you know those colorful words and tiny pics at the edge of your fabric. Try google for selvage projects or look on pinterest.
2. Red, White and Pink. Design a postcard including these three colors.

My swaps are open to all levels of sewing. For a tutorial on how to make fabric postcards, please refer to my post in tutorials How to Make a Fabric Postcard. Please post pictures of the postcards you receive.

*Cards must measure approx 4 x 6
*Must predominantly be sewed and quilted. Embroidery by hand or machine is also welcome.
*Must have some type of finished edge.

Cuppy and I have exchanged pm's. We are kinda sorta "neighbors". As in we don't live all that far from each other.

I have a basic design ready. Now to pull the fabrics and embellishments and see if my idea works out. I am so glad to be back and swapping with you ladies again. I lost my sewing mojo for awhile. And, it's not quite back yet. I'm hoping these little projects will get me back on track. Either way, I have missed making and swapping these little smiles in the mail.


Cookie, I love the idea of surprise themes every month. Life as I get older just doesn't hold enough surprises. So, the theme each month always intrigues me. Thank you for continuing to host this swap.

Armylady2012, Your post card is on its way . I was told it will take as long as a parcel takes . I thought a letter might be less

I have all of my card done except to sew on the backing and do the binding.
I need an address though for my partner "sleepyhollow". :)

My card is almost done and ready to go out. I think I will hold it until at least February 1st to mail.
My idea just came together faster then I thought it would.

Just mailed mine over the pond to Lindac. PO says it should arrive in 5 -7 days. We will see!!!!

Cuppy, I will be mailing off to you on Monday. I have it all packaged up and ready to go.

I will be mailing my partners post card off Monday.

I mailed my partner R-Sea her package today, I hope that it doesn't take too long to get to her.

Mine will be mailed to my partner tomorrow instead, because I have an appointment at the clinic. Hubby will run it in to the post office for me. It's all finished and packaged up. :) I had fun making it, and hope my partner will like it.
