Made a pumpkin block today. :) I found this pattern online, so i pulled out my stash of oranges for it. :) I am having fun already!! I don't have a complete set yet, just making some prototypes!! :)

Ohh, I am so excited to see this swap!! I love autumn, and Halloween has always been a favorite holiday of mine! I have the fabric line by Moda called Halloween Night, have not made anything with it yet, as I love it so much and just haven't found the right project..lol...this swap sounds just right to include some of it in the blocks....Please count me in, will pm you also.

What do you think, would this mummy block be too raggety?

Oops forgot can we embellish with buttons and or ric-rac?

Wanda! I LOVE the mummy!! Not too raggedy at all, I personally am in love with the raw edge applique look. Such a great idea!!! :) So far as buttons and ric-rac. Flat items like the ric rac or ribbon are fine (won't bother anything when quilting) 3-D things like buttons, just make sure they are on their own strings so people could potentially take them off if they didn't want them there when quilting.

I adore that Mummy, it is so cute! I think the ragged look is what makes him so adorable. I have no trouble with buttons, poor mummy could not see with out his button eyes!

My Halloween blocks are looking good, and as promised on the mystery forest swap, pictures will be a coming~ I am thinking of adding another set! gosh it is hard to do just a few blocks!

sorry about the mis-spelling of my raggedy mummy....
I think I will use felt eyes and maybe send some buttons if someone wants to use them , I just love buttons and use them often.
I think i signed up for 2 sets but I might make 4 sets, I am having too much fun.

I really liked looking at the samples on here I love fall and halloween and have a huge tote of halloween fabrics I can't resist buying off season when they are on sale lol. I just want to keep an eye on this thread so I can see all the awesome blocks you all are posting :)

I have received our first package of blocks!! They are the gorgeous blocks from moonrise, and let me tell you, the photos do not do them justice!!! :)

Remember you are welcome to send your blocks to me anytime, you do not have to wait till closer to the mail date. It's actually nice to get some early as I like to go through each package and count the blocks and mark some things on the package. This way I can let you know about about any issues or let you know how happy I am that I get to pet your blocks for a while before I have to send them to new homes. :) :) :) So it makes it a little easier to do all this if the packages arrive over time rather than all at once. :) :) Plus as an added bonus, if you mail to me early, you don't have to worry about them any more!!

Well I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one. I wasn't happy with any of the free Halloween PP patterns I was able to find in the 6 X 6 quilt squares I decided I would have to make my own. So four days later and 3 lost EBAY bids on Halloween fabric later. The fruits of my labor have produced 3 patterns. I call them ... Silly Monster, Batty David, and Patronizing Pumpkin. I will be making six of each of these to send in for my three sets. The borders I wanted to be a Halloween print but I have made do with fabrics I had. Hope you all like them.

Those are so great!! I think they look perfect with the fabrics you used. :) I found the free PP patterns to be less than desirable too, I wish I had your talent for making my own!! :) Can't wait to see them in person!!

Well the fun is ongoing here in Indiana, All my critics came out of there corners (My loving family) and decided my pumpkin didnt have enough personality. So spent today working on giving pumpkins personality. Here is my revised pumpkins :) Oh and yes I've been told the next four I make have to have there own personalities also.. lol. My grandson said to make one with crazy eyes so I'm studying his ideas of crazy eyes.. rotfl :) :) .. So Fraew I will look forward to see what springs up off your drafting table. :) :) Have an Awesome day everyone.
