I used a piece of not ribbon not shoelace but like that you get it in the lace section some use it for necklaces. I couched it down with the same stitch I appliquéd it with. It was really fun to do. I love couching things I have done it with yarn and specialty ribbon yarn it looks really cool.

Cute houses Crafty.
Here are 3 houses I made from selvedges. They are 9 1/2" blocks. The colors show a bit duller than in real life. I can't seem to get my camera to take great pictures. |
