Does this mean that you can't applique? Not that I was going to...but just curious!

I was tempted and signed up---already got an idea in my head.
I hope not. The way I read it is that the house itself is to be pieced but after that you can do what you want. Personally I had planned on some applique. Not a whole lot but some and by machine not by hand.
