I pulled up my applique designs I want to do, so will be able to get on them tonight. I think I just have to throw in some flowers for summer like an Iris. It just says summer to me. An Iris blooms in late June early July here up north. Having loads of fun finishing my blocks.

Is there any objection to embellishments being added to block before we mail them? I was thinking of putting some buttons on a little daisey flower block. Let me know so I can stop or go.

The embellishments need to be on the side pinned onto the block. Many people machine quilt and request that they be unattached so they don't get in the way and break needles. Sorry.
I am happy to hear you are having fun with your blocks. I think that is what the swaps are all about.

I am one of the machine quilters and that is why I double confirmed whether sewing on or attached thereto. I am good with that no problem. This way I do not have to sew on 18 buttons and can work with that.

Working feverishly on these blocks. So excited. Doing an applique hummingbird I think. Will try it to see if like first then will make more if turns out nice. Unless no one wants a hummingbird and flowers.

Ok everyone the swap is officially closed to sign ups yesterday. That means that there are three weeks to mail the blocks and have them get here safely on time! Yikes! Did that ever go by fast!

I find this to be funny that it is snowing today at the end of the summertime swap...LOL!
