I love what everyone has been doing with these rows! they're so beautiful!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE :(.

Here's Ruth's row, with mine added underneath. I have Janw's lovely trees now, and am trying to decide what kind of trees I want to grow on it!

purplemem 03-09-2009 10:53 AM

This is really beautiful. What a nice row! :D

Got the third row Holiday Row Robin. I think I am going to do something with snowflakes for my contribution. Will be going to Jo'ann's tomorrow for supplies. These are so much fun.

Elizabeth A. 03-11-2009 10:58 AM

Lori did such a pretty job on those snowmen! I think snow sounds wonderful!

2doods I've added my row, so your top is now halfway to being done. I hope you like what I came up with. It's all embroidery and applique. On the sides are little towns with north pole this way signs, and then in the center is Santa's village complete with Mrs. Claus. This was the first time I'd used Sew Teri-fic embroidery and I just love how it turned out. It's certainly a prettier in person row. :D

The theme for this row is Christmas with Santa, so don't worry he's there too, on his sleigh just taking off to make deliveries.

purplemem 03-11-2009 12:42 PM

This is really darling! You did a great job!

MJ

Elizabeth A. 03-11-2009 04:45 PM

Thanks your praise is special since you've worked with it just before me, so you know the colors. This is one beautiful top ladies. :D

2 Doods 03-11-2009 05:18 PM

Elizabeth! Fabulous!!! And now Santa has a place to live
Do I have to confess? I just put my Santa collection away 2 weeks ago! Hey! It's in the closet before March this year! I may need to go live in that Santa Claus town where the town folk keep Santa things out all year.....I forget which state it is in. Anyone know? Someplace snowey, I'm sure

Thanks for the peek! LOVE IT!!!!

I just figured out the one I have is 14 inch blocks....I'm searching for patterns-My patterns are all 12 inch. So pretty though-hope I can find something worthy.

mrsj82 03-11-2009 10:15 PM

I think it's Santa Claus Indianna...at least that's the state that comes to mind when I hear that as a town.

My row is still refusing to talk to me! I have no idea what I'm going to add to it, also, I have absolutely no idea what to add to the most wonderful rows coming my way! *panics*

Some beautiful work going on here! Can't wait to see what's next!

Elizabeth A. 03-12-2009 05:22 AM

YIPPIE! WHAOHOOO! You like it! I saw how the photo came out, and I thought oh no! What if 2doods doesn't like it at all!

mrsj perhaps purplemem's row needs more stars? I found a Christmas tree pattern that goes together log cabin style easy peasy, I nearly used it on the row before you, but changed my mind and ended up going with the snowflakes. Let me know if you'd like the pattern (it was a free one off of quilter's cache, I just don't remeber where it is off the top of my head).

All US mail addressed to the "North Pole" goes North Pole, Alaska zip code 99705.

Canada deals with it in country as well.

thimblebug6000 03-12-2009 07:03 AM

There's not much in the town of North Pole, Alaska but the Xmas decorations fill a HUGE shop. And there's a very large statue of Santa outside.

mrsj82 03-17-2009 07:09 PM

So are anyone else's rows refusing to talk to them? Mine has been sitting here for two weeks shaking it's head at me and not talking! I haven't the slightest clue what I'm going to do with it...

I cannot believe this has gone so fast! Here we are on the 3rd row!!! *shakes head*

purplemem 03-17-2009 08:39 PM

My row is very stubborn! It just sits on the wall, watching my every move. Does it talk to me?? NOOOOOOOOOOOO, just watches me...

EEK! Next week is deadline! Talk to me... :!:

zyxquilts 03-17-2009 08:44 PM

Mine finally started to whisper when I took it to quilt class tonight....trees, it said....treessss....!

Elizabeth A. 03-19-2009 10:06 AM

March 31st, not quite two weeks left. It's okay take a minute and breathe. :D Then tell the row that if it doesn't get itself together you're going to have to do it! lol

LoriJ 03-19-2009 10:30 AM

This is the third row for babeegirls visions of sugar plums theme.
Sorry they should be clearer and the red is the same as she has in her pinwheel.

Right there with you! This one is not talking to me. And time is ticking :(

purplemem 03-20-2009 01:24 PM

I'm on this bandwagon!

Margie 03-20-2009 01:26 PM

Havent heard a peep out of mine. I have set a deadline...Speak BY MONDAY or ELSE....then I am taking no prisoners!!! The quilter has spoken

Margie

sandpat 03-20-2009 03:51 PM

OK Ladies.....all of you just breathe deeply.......IN.......OUT.......IN.....OUT......no w..are you hanging the silly thing up on the wall where you can peek at it? If you don't have a design wall...use masking tape or some tiny straight pins so you don't make big holes in the wall. Now, I've found that if I walk past something a lot and act like I'm not paying any attention...it will reach out and slap me in the face with an idea. Try it...it will happen to you too!

You are all doing a spectacular job on the quilts you have passed on so far...this round will be no different!!

Babeegirls third row is on and ready to mail to Ruth Camp on monday.

Margie 03-21-2009 09:13 PM

OOOOOOH MY that row is adorable and isnt the quilt coming out perfect!! You people are so creative and your work is wonderful. My row is still not speaking to me :(...how rude...accepting my hospitality and then refusing to communicate.

Margie

sandpat 03-22-2009 05:16 AM

Jan, that looks great!

Margie...how rude is that row!!!

Elizabeth A. 03-22-2009 08:11 AM

Great job Jan yours is such a nice transition to an alternative technique.

This is such a great point, think about it. You're either halfway done or nearly (depending on the group you are in). Take a deep breath maybe do a little LQS shopping, this is the hump ladies you can do it. :D

purplemem 03-22-2009 08:37 AM

I have an idea for mine. I'm letting it brew but I may work it today...

Knot Sew 03-23-2009 12:59 PM

I have taken this one apart twice, I made two new block today. Tomorrow I will join them and see how they look. I think I have it this time

sandpat 03-23-2009 03:53 PM

Good goin' Ruth! BTW...I love your new avatar, but I do miss that cozy looking shed you had with all the snow.. I think this one is better for spring though.
