Hi--
Let's extend the dates to due by November 15th with a delivery back to you of December 1st. I am looking to start a 5" I Spy charm swap, looking for 40 members to submit 40 squares of 3 different quilt quality fabrics. In your packet you will enclose: 1. 40 squares each of 3 fabrics (washed, ironed and in zip lock bags for safe transportation) 2. Self addressed stamped envelope for return of your squares. I would like to receive all packages by November 15th and will sort and mail out squares by December 1st. Please PM me your address so I can add you to the list and send you my mailing address. I will set up a database of interested members and try to keep the swapping going if there is enough interest. Happy quilting everyone. |
sd- there is already an ongoing "I Spy" 5" Chram Square going on that has about 40 or so members. Look under this list and you will find it. Several of us want to do a flannel swap next and they are already setting it up. Chele is the coordinator for it.

I'm interested in the I SPY charm square swap. I"ve been tryig to collect I spy fabrics to make quilts for my grandsons and they are not always easy to find.
|
This is a second/different one from the one Chele started that is full????
|
I'm not sure. This is the first time I've seen this.
|
I would be interested BUT I have so much due the end of this month there is no way I can do this , but I wish you luck
|
I think if you put a Nov 25 or Nov 30 due date, you might have a few takers.
There are quite a few things coming up for the end of October. |
I am new to this, what do you mean by "I Spy" charm squares ? Can the 5" squares be of any good quilt quality cotton fabric?
|
I Spy quilts are usually made for children - the squares have nameable things in them - cars, cows, mice, cars, toys, etc.
Ami Simms has a book called "Picture Play" that has some great examples. |
Thanks, sounds like a fun one to join.
