I am looking to start a 5" I Spy charm swap, looking for 40 members to submit 40 squares of 3 different quilt quality fabrics.

In your packet you will enclose:
1. 40 squares each of 3 fabrics (washed, ironed and in zip lock bags for safe transportation), INCLUDE your screen name on your package, thank you.
2. Self addressed stamped envelope for return of your squares. (if doing more than one set the Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box accomodates 2 sets and ships for $4.95)

I would like to receive all packages by February 15th and will sort and mail out squares by March 1st. Please PM me your address so I can add you to the list and send you my mailing address.

I will set up a database of interested members and try to keep the swapping going if there is enough interest. Happy quilting everyone.

If most of the patterns will be new, I'd like to participate again.

I will be sending different fabrics from the ones I sent before.

I figure if we do enough swaps, I'll eventually be able to sort them into "topics" :)

I did both other swaps and will be doing this one. I will go shopping for fabric on Saturday at Joannes , so it should be something different . I just buy it a yard at a time for each swap as it comes up.

Everyone so far has indicated that they are looking for more variety. I just ordered my fabrics all different from what I did before or ones that were in the swap. Have fun shopping.

We are about 1/2 way there already, wow. I guess the demand was there. I have ordered my fabric and it is different from everything we had before, I only wish the pickles fabric that I got in my remnant box had been enough for the swap, I only had enough for 1/2. It is amazing to me to see how many different fabrics there are out there. I can't wait to start opening your packages again, it will be a fabric christmas.

Will this be children's fabrics or any fabric?

In my opinion, I Spy fabrics usually have something that can be named on them - butterflies, trucks, food, balloons, animals, etc.

They may be "kiddy" or "cartoonish" or "realistic" -

It started with a game "I Spy . . . a little blue bird - can you find it?" Of course, the child seemed to be able to find a different one than the one I was looking at, but that was okay. Then it was the child's turn to make the adult find something.
