I also want to echo everyone's comments that you are to be commended for your hard work in putting this swap together. Any non-positive comments weren't a judgement in any way. And the girly fabrics that I received were beautiful. So I definitely wasn't complaining.
And i concur that the pigs were adorbs! But I'm also partial to the yellow robots and dinosaurs! Thank you again and Merry Christmas! |
Sewbizgirl, your little I Spy Quilts are so cute. Need to get out my squares and start going on some myself.

You are doing a great job Charlotte . Thank you for stepping up and taking my place when I couldn't .
Not everyone is going to like the fabric someone else's picks out. But that's why it's called a swap we take what we get. It really is a lot work and time to swap all the squares out. Lots and lots of hours that run into days and then off to stand in line at the post office. I absolutely love the I Spy swaps. They are my favorite. I'll take a couple pictures of the ones I finished and show you all soon. So please be kind with your words. Those of you that didn't cut them right please double check. It would be better to be a tad over than under. It's your responsibility. So please for the future swaps be careful . Thank you I am better but had toe surgery yesterday. Talk about throbbing pain. I do take pain med. which knocks me out. I have a 3 weeks recoup with this foot now. Not a right time to be down. So it's been hard. You all have a Merry Christmas!! |

Below are two pictures of my Dora square, one 'as cut', and the second with the 1/4" seam allowances turned under. What I'm saying is how can anyone send this in or expect someone to put it in a quilt? Many other squares are cute, cute fabrics, but useless for my quilts because they are 1/8" shy in one direction. |
Sewbizgirl,
You can send the charms you don't want my way, if you like. I'll take them! I like the colors on the Dora fabric. :-) |
Does anyone know who sent the three bears fabric last time? Or maybe it was Jesse Bear. At any rate, I LOVE it and have been looking for it online, but can't find anything, even retired. My square had a papa, mama, and baby bear walking on a path, enjoying a stroll. They were wearing fancy clothes. Anybody?
|
Now I see what fabric you are talking about. The reason I accepted this fabric was because while Dora wasn't complete there are other secondary pictures that I thought would challenge a child to look closer. Such as the giraffe or elephant.

I liked that fabric! I got what looked like Hansel & Gretel.

That was me. That was a storybook fabric with all storybook characters in it... like Red Riding Hood, the Gingerbread Man, Three Bears, etc. It wasn't a name brand fabric... I actually bought it at a Walmart on the clearance table a long time ago. I looked to see if I had any left over to find any info on the selvedge, but I must have cut up all I had left for the squares. Sorry I can't give you any more info on it.
