Judith1005 01-01-2016 10:52 AM

Okay Ladies, All names are out. If something doesn't look right, please let me know. I strive to NOT make mistakes on addresses. Checking and double checking! Have fun.

Judith, yes I did. :D
I told my husband about it too, and he did the same.

JuanitaBean 01-02-2016 05:58 PM

I have my PC ready to send out Monday. Judith had fun working with the Rainbow theme. I had 2 done and a 3rd ready if I thought she would not like any of them. Choices were Tree, Dog, Cat or Butterflies.

Judith Thank you for doing this PC Swap I really enjoy making them. Get to try new technique on small things.

calla 01-03-2016 07:39 AM

JuneBillie 01-03-2016 08:45 AM

Is the rainbow theme in anything as colorful figures or just anything? Does it need to be just a actual rainbow shape?
Just making sure of what I am doing.:)

Linny 01-03-2016 09:38 AM

All holiday visits over and back to a quieter household so I Can begin to sew again. Not sure what I'm doing yet, but I have a partner and a few ideas.....should be fun.

Anything goes JuneBillie. You can either make a rainbow or use rainbow colors.

dfelker 01-04-2016 11:49 AM

I think I have a couple of ideas!! Time will tell for sure!

Linny 01-05-2016 02:38 PM

Quick update as I am half way to finished. It always seems like the first half is the easiest, then start fiddling here and there until I barely get it done in time.
I did hear from my swap partner and I pm'd her a few days ago.

JuneBillie 01-05-2016 03:22 PM

It will be fun to see what we all come up with on this one. :)

JuanitaBean 01-05-2016 05:25 PM

Sent my PC to nancia you should have it by Friday

owlvamp 01-06-2016 02:59 PM

I hope to get mine done soon as soon as I can pick up my head. I have been sick sense New Year's Day that evening.
I have bronchitis and hoping it doesn't get worse. On second round of antiboctics. Been in bed for. The most part. And it's. Getting old. But I'm just so tired all the time.

JuneBillie 01-06-2016 03:27 PM

Owlvamp I hope you get to feeling better soon. That bronchitis is terrible. It's hard to get over, and rest is good for you while you are trying to heal.

Judith1005 01-08-2016 06:24 PM

Feel better Owlvamp. We miss your check ins.

I have been away a few days visiting my grandbabies one last time before they move. So, I am now home and will be getting busy with my rainbow postcard. :)

Looks like most of you are off and running. Don't forget ladies, I like to see you check in once in awhile. I hope you all are having fun! And that you are not under the weather like Owlvamp. Strange weather we are having.

JuneBillie 01-08-2016 11:23 PM

I have a pattern cut out for a small pattern using paper piecing. It would be pretty in lots of colors, but the thing is I am very new to paper piecing. I am going to attempt it, but when I finish it may or may not be used for my card depending on how it turns out. :D I really, really, want to learn this paper piecing until it becomes second nature to me. I find it so fascinating. Wish me luck. :) Note: I have only attempted a couple of small things in paper piecing since my interest.

cuppy 01-09-2016 12:21 AM

Going to finish my Fabric Post Card in the next couple of days.

beckyw 01-09-2016 07:41 AM

owlvamp hope you are better soon. Got a plan for my card. Just have to do it.

calla 01-09-2016 09:49 AM

Owlvamp, rest hope you feel better soon
JuneBillie, I'm experimenting with PP too......too funny
Judith, how far will your daughter be moving?
Later all

owlvamp 01-10-2016 06:05 AM

Thank you all! I do feel a tad better but not all the way. So time will tell or off to the doctors I go.
Hoping to tackle the post card tomorrow but have no idea at this time what I'm making or how yet. Surfed for ideas and still coming up blank right now .

JuneBillie 01-10-2016 02:26 PM

I have been working a bit on my post card today. With the paper piecing I have taken out stitches a few times already, but I am not giving up. lol...I have also had to re-cut a few more times too. I am having fun though. It's dark outside and may snow. Temperatures have went down all day.

owlvamp 01-10-2016 04:02 PM

I'm going to try to start mine tomorrow .

cuppy 01-11-2016 07:14 AM

Fabric Post Card will be mailed to my partner today.

queenof2802 01-11-2016 11:59 AM

I have been focused on several larger projects. Hope to get everything cut and pieced tonight.

The past two morning we have had light snow dustings. Nothing major, just looks pretty. The high today is 36. Still had to work. Wish it was enough that I could have stayed home!

nana20010 01-11-2016 12:06 PM

dfelker 01-11-2016 01:18 PM

Back to the drawing board.

owlvamp 01-11-2016 02:11 PM

Dfelker I know how you feel. I'm going to take a nap and see if I can start something.

Judith1005 01-11-2016 02:49 PM

Nice job Dotty. It's beautiful. Is the fluffy white stuff Angelina Fibers?

Judith1005 01-11-2016 03:01 PM

I have been auditioning fabrics for my postcard. It is so much fun digging around in my scrap bin.

It is funny, my pile of yellow looks woefully small compare to the others. But, I have lots and lots of yellow in the drawer I keep them in. I think I will need to add to this teeny pile. :)

I agree Juanita. These little postcards are great or trying out a new skill. Or maybe an old skill done small scale! Either way, so much fun!!

Calla, right now my daughter lives about 12 hours away from me in NC. They are moving to the Northern part of IN in a short few weeks period of time. About 18 hours away. It's really too far for me to travel with my dogs and by car. My car is 9 years old and so far we have made the drive to NC about 5 or 6 times this year. That will all stop after they move. Unfortunately, I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. Too many to board and fly also. My daughter is just going to have to get better about skype. I will have to try out FaceTime. She says she likes that better. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Judith, your post card went in the mail today.

JuneBillie 01-11-2016 09:34 PM

Nana pretty rainbow colors from Dotcom. :)

Judith a nice variety of colors.

I am still working on mine.

owlvamp 01-12-2016 11:16 AM

Mine is still in the stage 0 process.i am totally at loss. Hopefully I can find the fabric I set a side for this month and can do the idea I had. Also will look through my scraps to see if I have all the colors of the rainbow .

Sorry daughter is moving to far away. I know how that is. Face time is wonderful when you have a good connection. I face time with my sister and daughters. Also my two year old grandson loves to FaceTime me. He gets so happy.
