Wow! Sue's runner/ topper is fabulous. Those colours scream "celebration".

ube quilting 04-22-2017 11:03 AM

That is an awesome table topper. Those colors are wonderful. I have always liked pinks and oranges together and the blue accent is perfect. I forget the name of the pattern. Sue, you did good!
peace

lawsonmugs 04-22-2017 02:11 PM

Wow Sue just fabulous !!! Such bright colors.Love it. Glad the toppers and runners are still coming in. Love the pictures ladies.

Armylady2012 04-22-2017 07:23 PM

What a beautiful runner or topper not for sure which is the correct word but I love it what a lucky lady Caroline.

Northern Sue 04-23-2017 10:13 AM

So glad you like it Caroline!

m-fay 04-23-2017 04:01 PM

Is there a pattern for this one or did you make it up. I am hopeless without a pattern.

ube quilting 04-23-2017 04:45 PM

I don't know the name of the pattern but it is made with triangles. Would be nics made with a border print or as this one is strip pieced.

Sue, what is thepattern name, please.

Northern Sue 04-23-2017 04:48 PM

There is indeed a pattern for this. I'll find it tomorrow and post the name of it and hopefully the link. Will post it for all!

lawsonmugs 04-23-2017 04:58 PM

Is this "card trick" or something like that?

Northern Sue 04-23-2017 05:07 PM

http://quiltingdigest.com/spinning-star-table-topper Check out this site for other pics of the Swirling Stars Card Trick Table Topper. There is also a pdf that I will try to attach if I can figure out how! Can someone tell me how to attach a pdf file here?

Here we go - this is a translated tutorial which I found I needed to actually figure out how to determine the size of the small wedges. The link for this is actually on Quilting Board: Forum/Main/Tutorial for Star SpinQuilt. Page 1, link posted by Woody! Phew! Hope that helps!

m-fay 04-24-2017 03:56 AM

Thanks Sue, Ill check it out now.

WOW Lawsonmugs, it is beautiful and so love the pot holder. Something I don't make enough of for me.

My husband decided that the pot holder could not be used, it was to pretty so it now has a place of honor on the wall for show.
Lawsonmugs, the runner pressed out just fine. No worries here. I have placed it on the table so I have a bit of spring in my house. Need to change out the quilts and add some flowers instead of wildlife. Hubby will be gone again this week so I will do some changes. Need to brighten up the mood since we have clouds and rain again.

lawsonmugs 04-24-2017 09:26 AM

Beth what a sweet compliment. I made myself 2 of them. one blueberry and one red raspberry. Mine also hang on the wall but I use mine often. Along time ago my mama said to use things made for me. Don't just put them up for a special day. Today if your here it's a special day. lol. This is so true if you think about it. Have a good day.

m-fay 04-29-2017 05:48 AM

I,m still waiting patiently. In my reckoning, love them greys and nonnie60 are waiting too...I may be wrong.

ube quilting 04-29-2017 07:55 AM

I am anxious to see the rest of the runners too.

Armylady2012 04-29-2017 08:14 AM

Northern Sue Thank you so much for the link to this pattern I have been wanting to attempt this but could not find a pattern, that may be because I did not have the proper name. Thank you again.

jaba 04-29-2017 06:31 PM

I'm so sorry you ladies are still waiting! I guess "ready to send" means nothing! It seems to be happening all across the quilting board, to bad, it really makes me sad. Don't mean to offend but what ever happened to your word and honestly. You could at least be courteous and let our hostess or someone know....whoever you are

ube quilting 04-30-2017 03:37 AM

I know a few go to Canada and at least one to Australia. These take time going through customs. Sometimes over a month or more. The one I made is going to one of these destinations and I am trying to be patient but anxious for its arrival.
Mailed in the first week of April, I expect delivery the first week in May, I hope.

CarolinePaj 04-30-2017 02:13 PM

Hi Guys,

Everybody except M-Fay has received.... she is normally the last person to get hers as she is so far away! Marion is such a sweetie and she totally understands that her runner has the furthest to travel and that we are all reliant on the postal services.

I hope you will all be signing up for the next swap... we all seem to have such fun and the runners are amazing!

Hugs

Caroline

Northern Sue 04-30-2017 03:30 PM

Armylady2012 - this topper can be "resized" by changing the width of your strips and/or adding more strips to the set. For example, use 1" strips, sew 5 together to make your strip set. This will be smaller & maybe more delicate depending on fabric choices. I think I will do this one again but in tone on tone ecrus.

m-fay 04-30-2017 07:54 PM

Jab it's usually the customs that are the holdup. Not to worry all is good

lawsonmugs 05-02-2017 07:55 AM

m-fay your runner is beautiful. Love the colors and the pattern. Ube you did a wonderful job on it and the wavey quilting adds so much to it. All of it is so nice. Thanks Caroline for hosting another fun and wonderful swap.

ube quilting 05-02-2017 09:37 AM

So glad you like your package Marion. I save little fussy cuts like the glove and make them into magnets and pins and even plant skewers.

I used the little bird stencil on a quilt I made several years ago and when I found another one I had to send it along, one of my favorites.

This has been a very nice swap, thank you every one for sharing. On to the next swap.:D

Belfrybat 05-02-2017 03:15 PM

That runner is fabulous. I love the soft colours and the quilting is exquisite.
