January 2019 Pincushion Swap
 

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the January 2019 Pincushion Swap. You must be signed up by the 31[SUP]st [/SUP]January 2019 as partners names will be sent out between 1st and 2nd February 2019. You must have mailed by the 7th February 2019. This is a hard and fast deadline - no excuses. You must also please let me know when you mail and when you receive... this is so I can make sure that everybody receives a pincushion.

This is a personal choice swap so you can make any type of pincushion that you would like to.

Before signing up, please read the rules below:

Rules

As with all swaps there must be rules so here are ours!

1. This is a secret swap.
2. This is not a partnered swap so you may not receive from the person you send to.
3. Everybody on the board is welcome to take part.
4. This will be a bi-monthly swap (6 in a year) – you only take part in the months that you sign up for.
5. If you commit to taking part you must send out a pincushion… no excuses!
6. If you encounter a problem or issue, you must let me know immediately; there is nothing that cannot be sorted and re-organised if you communicate.
7. You are only committed to send a pincushion…. You may, if you wish send other items, but please do not expect to receive anything more than a pincushion.
8. Be kind to the person you receive from… we are all at different levels of experience on this board and we need to encourage each other… so if you receive an item from a less experienced stitcher -just appreciate the time and love that has been put into making it.
9. You must mail your item with 4 days of receiving your person’s name.
10. The main rule is to have fun making and receiving some lovely creations.

Sign-ups will start now and close on the 31[SUP]st[/SUP] January 2019 for this round.

When signing up, please let me know if you have a nut allergy as some people fill their pincushions with walnut shells.

I’m in. Just made my pin cushion, well mostly anyway. It’s smaller than I expected, it’s a mini pinnie...

Working on mine today. I found a couple of new ideas. I worked on my Swap Binder over the Holidays to get ready for a New Year of Swaps.

Hopefully I will get last months pincushion done for this month. I was able to get an earlier date for surgery so did that in Dec. Now still slow go but sofar all is on track. I loved seeing what everyone made last month. One of these months I will join you. LOL

Hi Everyone,

There is still a little time to join in... I will be closing sign ups at 09.00am UK time on the 1st February - that allows it to be at least Midnight every where in the USA.

I will try to get names to everybody tomorrow, but if time is short you will get them on Saturday. I can't wait to see what everybody sends this time... it will be like Christmas in February!

Hi Everyone,

You should all have your names by now. If you haven't received a name please send me a PM and I will check where I have made the mistake - LOL.

Remember that this is a secret swap and not a partnered swap so you will not be receiving from the person you are sending to and you will need to pop a note in with the pincushion letting your person know who sent their lovely pincushion.

Again, it is important that you let me know when you send and receive so I can ensure that everybody gets a pincushion. Also, don't forget to thank your sender (good manners cost nothing) and to post a picture of what you receive on this thread.

Just letting you know that mine went yesterday and it is going across the pond to another continent ..... but which one?

Mine will go out hopefully tomorrow. If not then it will be Friday. I had to remake it. My dog thought it was a toy for her. When she realized it didn't have a squeaker in it she decided it didn't need to be in one piece anymore. This one will be out of her sight.

I mailed Wednesday. My Pal should receive Saturday. My pincushion will have to swim through lakes, rivers, and streams to get to it's destination.

Yippee I received my pin cushion today! Sew sweet. I love it. Thank you Kristie. The package was wrapped so adorable.

I also picked up my package from PamelaOry yesterday. I am unable to post a photo at this time, but I received not one, but two of the cutest pincushions I have ever seen. I will post a photo just as soon as I get a new camera, which according to the weather report will not be for a couple of days. Pam, the littlest one is so cute that it will go into my handwork kit. Thank you so much for a wonderful swap package.

My package to my swap partner was mailed yesterday and my only hope is that it doesn't get on a slow boat.

Well, I can't seem to find my SS on here, I got a great package from: SKae aka Sandy Kae Dreher. It was a rectangle hot pink pin cushion. Plus the cutest decorated spool. In colors of my quilting room. Teal & black with all sorts of tiny cute sewing accessories on top. This was a cute idea! Thank you so much!

If someone knows my Ss can you please let her know I'm trying to reach her?
