I went shopping for my secret pal on Friday and had soooooo much fun! I'm putting it in the mail before Friday...I hope she enjoys all of her goodies. I'm definitely in for August!!!!

I sent a pm....got my June package and it was great ....now I can hardly wait for July. My mailman probably hates me doing these 'cause I get so excited to receive my package that I meet him at the door every day asking "do you have my special package today?"....he probably thinks I'm nuts!!! Oh well, gives him something to talk about .....hahaha

I just got back from Walmart and they were discontinuing some of their quilting supplies. So I went crazy and bought stuff for this swap and a few others down the road. I'm looking forward to this. I'm new to this. Kid in a candy store.

I have a small concern about the Secret Pal swap. I think those who sign up should do so with the idea of communicating with their partner to get to know each other. Otherwise, what's the point of just sending someone a "gift" and never getting further acquainted???

When it was time to send out my package to my secret pal, I sent her an email and told her I was her secret pal and to expect the package. Since then we have corresponded via emails a couple of times and I plan on keeping in touch with her. There isn't any rule that says you can't correspond after sending the packet.

Yep Yep. got WONDERFUL stuff and will have to get going on quilting with some of the fabric. Connie help me decide what to make, although it was by accident. I was showing her a pattern that I had cut out for applique. I had cut out the middle so that I could hold it up to the material and get an idea on what the finished product would look like and I used my fabric from the June swap since I had it with me to show Connie. Now I "HAVE" to do it because it looked cute!

Yes originally part of the swap was to put a note telling a little bit about ourselves. I think it would be fun that once the package is mailed to e-mail and then others want to wait till they get it. Maybe that can be a preference we send along with the other infor we send when we sign up.
