I think I am going to try a new technique. Hope it works.

Oooooh m-Fay! Love your fabric! I’m still browsing for new ideas & exploring my stash for a lightbulb moment! Lol

I have got my pattern for the next (the one after this one) "Breaking the bounderies" my challenge is paper piecing. I have plenty of time to practice.

Have a question about this swap. Does freestyle and makes choice mean we can change up the size or shape...like a table topper maybe, or do we stick with the rectangular shape?
|
This month is your choice of theme and shape. Next swap is pushing your limits to try something new, like paper piecing scalloped edge etc. No theme this month like floral or blues etc. It's kind of a free month to go wild. lol. Hope this helps. The first page of this swap explains it. This is my understanding anyway. Carolyn can help you better. She is the host and has final say on it.

Thanks Mary. I read the words table runner and took it too literal maybe. I really like table toppers, the square ones especially. I'll pm Caroline.

Linny you can make it round or hexagon or square, any shape.

Hi Guys,
Lenny has contacted me asking if she can make a topper this month instead of a runner. Firstly I assume the only difference is the shape... a runner is bling shape, a topper is anything else - am I right in assuming this? No, my question is, would you like future swaps to be a Table Runner/Topper swap? .... thus allowing more options to our creativity. Please let me know what you all think. Hugs Caroline |
This time the swap is "makers choice" so Caroline has given me the go ahead to make a Table Topper. They are fun to make, and sometimes just fit that special little table. I very much enjoy making Table Runners too.

I prefer a runner. The rectangle shape personally works better for my house and preference. Not sure I would participate if I thought I might get a topper.
