July to September Table Runner Swap - Theme of Autumn/Fall
Hi Guys,
Welcome to our ongoing Table Runner Swap! You have until the end of September to make a table runner - pattern is your choice. We are having a theme this time.... which is Autumn/Fall Size of Table Runner The table runner should be a minimum of 12” x 30”. You can use any technique/ any style. All fabrics used should be 100% cotton. the runner must be quilted Sign Up list There is no deadline so you can sign up at any time during the 3 months as this will be just an intention to participate. When you have made and are ready to mail your runner you can then sign up to the “ready to mail” list which is binding. But please remember that the only list that counts is the Ready to Mail list at the end September. Ready to Mail list An initial Ready to Mail list will be posted around the 26th September 2016. If you are not on this list you will not get an address to send to unless you contact me and get on the final listing. MIDNIGHT on the 30th September 2016 – is the deadline to get on the “Ready to Mail” list I will need: Real name Your address Whether you are willing to send international or not (Please consider this as it enables everybody to take part) Allergy info Pet and smoking information Email address As long as you have a table runner ready to mail by the deadline you can join us any time! Addresses Sent Out: I will send out the name and address of the person you should send to on the 2nd October 2016. You will have 7 days to get your table runner in the mail - NO LONGER. You will send your table runner to the quilter who's address you get. You will receive from a different quilter than the one you send to. This is not a partner swap. Please note that there are quilters of all abilities on this board and you should appreciate the table runner you receive as your sender will have worked hard to make it for you. You are welcome to send some goodies in your package if you would care to, but please don't expect anything other than the table runner. PLEASE NOTE.... You must let me know when you mail and when you receive. Also, please PM the person that sends to you to say thank you and to let them know that the table runner that they have sent you has arrived - it is only polite to do so! Hugs Caroline |

Caroline, just saw this thread and would love to take part in it. This will be like the wall hanging swap, no pressure for two months and three weeks. Haha. I know exactly what I want to make.

I jumped right in to make a fall themed table runner and can take my time quilting it now. I will probably make a few more before the deadline arrives so I will have a choice of runners to send.

I have some pretty fall fabrics. Have to see if time though. Lots to do and nursing an elbow still. Will watch this.

You did a beautiful job on the diamonds, and your sunflower fabric has a pretty warm fall look.

Started cutting and sewing today on a autumn themed runner, need to quilt it yet, but I like the way it turned out.. so far at least :) One of those days that I didn't want to load a quilt on the machine and wasn't real excited to sew anything....imagine that and every seam matched without even trying....go figure................

I started mine yesterday too. Unlike you, Jaba, I had a lot of unpicking to do

I have several different colored leaves sandwiched and ironed, ready to appliqué, but that's as far as I've gotten. Will probably make more than one this time, then decide which one to swap. Looking forward to some early sneak peeks.

I was thinking the same thing. Every one is out and about this summer. Talk and share will pick up closer to September, I'm sure. Though I sure would love to hear from people so I know I'm not alone. You know, it's all about me!:D

Ube just busy getting ready to leave. Lots of those "loose" ends to get done. I do have my runner sewn and quilted, have to finish the binding at some time and it will be ready to mail. It's autumn themed....

ube, it looks fantastic. And I like seeing the deer also. Where do you live that they come in your yard like that? We can't catch the Alabama deer that like to eat our peppers and other veggies in the front garden. I knew deer liked peas but I didn't know they liked jalapenos as much as they seem to. I don't mind sharing, but I want a few for myself!

My little piece of heaven abuts state game lands so there is very little human interference and the deer and turkeys stand at the edge of the woods watching us, waiting for a handful of corn and sunflower seeds. It is a two edge sword, I can't have a garden unless I want to put up an eight foot fence.

Home from the cottage, where I had lots of quilting projects with me, but ..... it was so darn hot in Southern Ontario, I was lazy and did very little! Now I'm scrambling, getting projects finished for the Fall Fair etc. Have my fabric & my plan for the runner, but haven't started yet - good thing I still have some time! Exciting to see the peaks - beautiful projects & choices!
