I am in this month, took couple of months off after unexpected death of my quilting buddy and best friend, aka my mom. Hit me pretty hard but have to get into the swing of things again.

TPr I am so sorry about your loss. We would love to have you come back to us when your ready.

I think the mug rug gang will be back in full force. you need a years worth right? hate to have you only have one or four mug rugs to chose between and heck these can always be a super small wall hanging if that is what you would like so get sewing and join the group! we would love to have EVERYONE play but since it probably wont work that way please some of you play! grin.

As to finishing in 1 hour ugh.. it takes me three. I know it and I accept it. you know how hard it is to pick out your fabrics.. then you have to decide on a pattern for those fabrics.. then you have to cut and SEW those fabrics lol and I am simply not that fast. ok sewing takes little time, the edging takes the most for me. picking fabric is the slowest part LOL I simply like this selection but then again there is THAT selection.. it goes on and on. Come have some fun with us. pull some fabrics and get started on a new adventure!

I fell off the fence and decided to join. doesn't take long to whip one up. spent over
8 hrs today working on my GFG 1" hexes. I must be nuts. My son needs my car over
the summer so i'm stuck home with nothing to do. I mean I can walk a parking lot
over to go to the pool, or to the café or to the game room, but i'm sticking with the
quilting thing. I'll show pics next week, Jeanne52 will post pics for me. she's my
"Official" photographer.

oh my Gosh we have a lot of players! and still a couple days left to sign up!!! so join on in! the waters warm! ok no water but pretend ok? its SUMMER time we are thinking of here. Patriotic? you could think stars and stripe surely but you could also think red and white flowers with a hint of blue flowers in the back? or perhaps a blue and white mixed barn quilt? the options are endless! you are only tied to red white or/and blue! and the other option a picnic could mean a wonderful slice of pie (sign me up!) or a picnic cloth with ants! lol or a basket on a blanket on a lawn waiting to be opened... what is picnic mean to you? see how hard its going to be to pick your choice but honestly I think one or the other is just fine with me too :) make sure you let Ctyankee know which one you prefer but remember you can pick the theme but your partner picks what she/he makes for you out of that theme. One never knows what you will end up with here but I always know it will be creative and colorful. yahoo!!!

ps summer time always makes me think of lobsters lol and the beach. red lobsters, cream sand and.. a picnic cloth oh yeah! sparklers? everyone loves fireworks.. and I LOVE the patriotic theme stars stripes and all that red white and blue. I am a sucker for this... I love this holiday a whole whole bunch. if you are stumped post it and others will give you their great ideas also. in fact! idea! why not while your waiting for your partner you post ideas for others to think on too!!!! great idea! so get posting!

Yay, you fence sitters! Glad you are in, the more, the merrier or the more, the more pictures we get to see:) I had to sit out a couple earlier this year because I was away from home, away from my fabric and even though I followed along with the swaps, it was kind of sad:(

Lynnie I think it was that if you wanted patriotic and stated that in your sign up, if at all possible you will be paired with a person that wanted patriotic also. If you said you didn't care, then with someone that didn't care either way too, or picnic etc.....I said patriotic so that is what I made. Finished them today so they are ready to go. Hubby left early this morning for a 10 day "guy's only" retreat to the mountains. Think I will have a little retreat of my own :)

Partner picks "picnic" or "patriotic" and then you make whatever you like that fits that theme. You won't necessarily be paired with someone of the same preference.

Those little dancing ants are pretty cute! It was very nice not having to worry about dinner last night but I sure miss him already, I'll go nuts by next weekend :) My chores at night consist of feeding hubbies dog , feeding the chickens and gathering the yummy eggs. I've been sewing blocks together from different swaps and at least getting them pieced and ready to quilt. Mercy, didn't know I had so many....

can't wait to see what my partner wants. maybe i'll combine the two.

Just sent my PM in that I have to drop out of the swap this month,but will be back next month.
I will really miss it and my fun mail,but found out today that my painters are going to be at my house to paint the whole inside and I have to get each room ready for them.
Plus we are going on a cruise the second week so I have way to much to do.

I wanted to let everyone know that the replys here on which type of swap this month is are all 100 percent correct. to hopefully clarify this month is your partners choice what they want. If they were good enough to let ctyankee know up front she will try to pair you with a partner who likes and wants what your making. and will make you the same :) if you wrote her and told her you don't care you will go with anyone who is also don't care will make anything they want or with someone who is specifically one or the other because well you don't care! lol. if they want picnic you make a picnic one or if they want patriotic colors you go that route. tada! still confused? write me and I will be as clear as I can with you. I hope that helps. note: we try to match you accordingly but not always is possible. Please understand if we get an odd number of wishes well you will probably get someone from another choice. I am sorry for this but magic is what magic is and we don't seem to do magic well. darn it!

I prefer a patriotic one but I will be making one of each. So, whoever I get, will receive two! :D
