I am sitting here wondering well well .... who is with whom? who wanted a picnic one and who wanted a patriotic one.. guess I will just have to keep watching as they are whipped up and sent to their lucky partners! the photos always get me. sneak peaks.. and all the goodies.. its such a treat to watch!

Woot, woot! Won't be long now ladies before partners are revealed. Looking forward to sewing up some fun after cleaning drywall mud and putting the house back together these last couple of months.

I think mailing about the same time your partner does is beyond an excellent idea. this way you can both write to each other let each other know your done and mail at the SAME time. no one is left stuck with no mug rugs in theory.

REMEMBER there will be no angels this month they are resting and enjoying the beginning of summer like the rest of us. So send your mug rugs. No excuses please. Just send. ok if your in the hospital or there is a major crisis in your home please let me know so I can see what we can do to help. Other than that... you will get horrible feed back so be prepared. SEND your mug rugs to your partners! tada! simple really.

got my partner. I had an idea and can't find the magazine I was looking for. now I need to rethink it. i'll work on it tomorrow or Wednesday. hopefully I can find it and get that same inspiration back. if not, new idea, here I come!!

Regm and I have made contact, now to decide what to do, wide open field when you have both as a option, glad to meet you Regm we are neighbors NJ and NY, and really only about 20 minutes driving to e between each other.

Well I gotta rethink my mugrug......��. Read their profile and found out a few things. I had this really cute embroidered birdhouse patriotic thingy planned, I guess it won't work. Good thing I won't be home to work on it till after Thursday, that will give me sometime to re-think. Maybe just a simple sampler block in patriotic fabrics will be enough.

looking for ideas? what about pinterest.com I go there type in mug rug and patriotic and wham you get hundreds to look at .. the trouble there is for me.. how do you pick just one. you can type in applique quilt mug rug patriotic and you will see what I mean. or type in pieced mug rug quilt patriotic and you will get a bunch of other types if you want them to be sorted for you . some slip in but its a great place to find inspiration. just an idea. also go to google and search images for patriotic flags or patriotic skys and bam another bunch of stuff to look at .. how to spend your day in 2 easy seconds. I get stuck there so I try to avoid it when I can. :)

nhnative and I have been communicating and getting to know each other. That's one of the things I enjoy the most about our swapping...getting to know another quilter a bit better. :) I will take a peek at Pinterest Linda, as I know they have amazing ideas and I go there quite frequently. Unfortunately, it's 3 hours away so I rarely go there...

My partner and I are swapping patriotic too... I got mine done today but will hold it and work on something else to include. Mailing later. Very excited.

I haven't heard back from my partner yet but saw that she posted earlier that she wanted to do picnic. Hopefully that hasn't changed since I'm going to go ahead and get started on her mug rug anyway. I don't want to get too far behind just in case something comes up later in the month that will require my attention. I've got the perfect fabric lined up and will start sewing in the morning. This is going to be fun!

Sorry but 20 minutes won't do it to get from Rochester NY to New Jersey. I'm at the west edge of Lake Ontario but it would be cool to get together.

Glad to hear that some of you have reached your partners or at least reached out to them! I hope they respond and also hope that you hold tight to your mug rug in case they go missing and then you can swap with another partner here who is stuck in the same boat. I know that would be awful but at least your not left holding the.. mug rug! :)


I would love to see sneak peaks of the fabrics your pulling... I have been pondering what everyone will make. Rest assured Lynnie there will be traditional then there will be surprise ones that might not have been thought of before. a patriotic cat? or a picnic for birds? who knows what comes up and the ideas amaze me. I am sure they are amazing to all of you too. I LOVE the fabrics picked its like a I want some of this moment for me and I need some of that .. inspiring? yes yes they are.

i'm starting yours tomorrow. I know what I want to do, but have no car till Sunday afternoon.
I hate not having a car, My son is using it to get to school, so that's more important to me. then for at
a month after to get a job b4 he can buy a car. So i'm working on it.
