I don't understand how this works. BUT I love to make blocks.

Mona Lisa you sign up and you will get a partner. You find out from your partner what her color preferances are. Then you make a quilt block for her and you exchange quilt blocks with her. She sends you one in her colors.

You have to choose from any of the quilt blocks that I have designed. There are alot of them in my Sampler Quilt Along thread or in any of my free tutorials or my website.

So if you want to play with us just let me know!

ok, only 5 more day to get our names.....I'll have a new sewing machine by then, so I'm really looking forward to this block....oh, my machine is a singer quantum, got it off EBAY price was what I could afford and it hopefully will work a lot better than the one I have. It has all kinds of fancy diddlies so I will have some learning to do,

What fun to have a new sewing machine to practice with. I have had my sewing machine for a year but it's pretty much a basic model. I make do with it but one day I will trade up. :)

We all have to catch up to Bonni- she's already trying out the technique for the next block! I guess a little practice doesn't hurt. Me, I am just running to orthodontic appointments today- 3 kids in one day. At least they are scheduling the next appointments for the same time, so I don't have to make multiple trips.

I am still learning how to use your method to make your blocks. So, I hope you do not mine if I a little slow at this.

Mary I have been the last one to get my quilt block in the mail in the last 2 swaps! and it was always a day or two late! LOL

We are pretty lenient with everyone. As long as I know your status of where you are in the process it's not a problem.

If you need any help just let me know. I or one of the others can help if needed.

I am going to post them in the morning. I think anyone who is interested has probably already joined. But if someone wants to hop on in the next day or two we can accomodate.

We"re up to 12 this month from 8 last month! Whoo hoo!

I haven't heard from Iluv2quilt but everyone else who played last month is here. And I love seeing new people join in!

That's a good number and also even so it will be easy to pair people up. LOL.

ok i think i am a little slow here, and i am new to swaps.

Do we have to wait to get our partners until we can make our blocks???

I will be posting partners tomarrow morning. Once you have your partners name you can contact her and ask about color preferances and if she has any thoughts on the quilt block you are making for her. It is a courtesy but not a requirement. Some have specific colors they are using and would like the quilt blocks to sort of go together so they can put them in one project. Some people don't really care so they just say do whatever you want. So it is up to you to talk to your partner.

I am really LOVING these quilt blocks. I have been practicing the star point and wings blocks and they are really fun.
I am glad i kind of stumbled across this swap.
