Krystyna, Krystyna... help me, help me.. or as my little GD said when she was younger... hep me, Gpa!!!
I don't mean to cause trouble (especially on your first doll quilt swap as the hostess) but I am totally lost. I must have missed some posts somewhere. For March... what can we do? And is the theme optional or not? :D :) |

You sure hit the mother lode with that Google search... Wow didn't realize there were so many colors in one place... So what is April suppose to be, I came in a bit late in this conversation.. Spring is good, two color not great.. Already have my March one near done, Fall colors so hopefully someone likes fall as much as I do. As I am making 4 place mats and a table runner for myself with the same pattern... BUT ... the theme is always optional ... so not to worry. |
WOW! I haven't read this thread in a while and I was begining to think I was WAY behind! I'm just mailing Feb DQ and haven't even thought about March yet, and then all of a sudden we're talking APRIL DQ's! My head is spinning.....
But I really like having a theme to go with for DQs. It seems easier for me to have boundries to work with otherwise my mind runs wild and takes me forever to decide on something. So April with two colors, is good for me! If my March partner (whenever assigned) wants to point me in a direction, or color scheme GO FOR IT! |
Just thought I'd check in and see if everybody is happy and not too confused
I know we have some new people this month, and I hope you'll invite your QB buddies to join us. If you don't hear from me for a day or two, not to worry. I am in the middle of doing inventory on all my lace fabrics and trims. For those of you with a scary-huge stash of quilting fabric ... picture a teeny tiny studio bursting with both fabric AND lace and you'll know why I am having a mini-nervous breakdown! Well, onward and upward! Get those machines revved up! |
Count me in for March, Krystyna!
|
Sign me up!!! I will send you a pm.
|
I would love to do my first doll swap. I am very excited!
|
Welcome Pam, Warning it is addictive!!!!!

This is my first doll quilt. Count me in!!!!!
|
I skipped February but I'm in for March!
|
Hey Pam I think we have to go to Connie and Linda's house they haven't signed up yet!!!! Maybe we need to hack into their computer and sign them up ourselves!!!!!
|
So much for the pinky swear you PM'd me about!
|
I'm in again! It was nice having February off, but withdrawal symptoms have set in.
What about an anti-theme one day? For instance, any colour you like except two named colours. Sounds stupid, but last month I looked at all the pictures going up and realised mine was the first quilt without any blue or green. |
1st timer here, would like to join for March. Will send PM :)

Only a few more days for sign up and then we all get our partners! |

|
Mine is almost ready to be quilted!! Can't wait myself!!
|
Wow, you ladies are speed demons! This month I am hand piecing and hand quilting. I sure hope my partner is a patient one!
|
Sorry to say I will need to sit out March. My kitchen is being redone here, and back up north date is early April. So see y'all again in April. Two colors, hey? That sounds fun. Just looked at this reply and my regional dialect is starting to become somewhat confused.
|
We will miss you - confused dialect and all! (Are you from southern Canada? LOL!) I hope the kitchen is everything you wanted. And, see you in April!
|
wow. I have my fabric but have not yet started to cut anything. I have an idea in mind. I better get started. I see a few of you are almost if not finished.
Its laundry day. But the winds are so strong today I don't think I will be using the outside clothes line. I love the smell of fresh air on my bedsheets and blankets. I guess I can wait till tomorrow to do them. They call NJ the Garden State. I think its more of the Weather State. Its 55 degrees one day. Rainy and freezing the next. Then super strong winds with beautiful sunshine the next. |
I'm with you on the fresh air sheets! I actually asked my husband for a clothes tree as a birthday gift a couple of years ago. Love them. I try to hang my doll quilts outside before sending them, too. We cook at lot of curry and fish here, so, just to be safe! Crazy wind here, too. And don't be rushed! We're not even out of February!!!
|
I'm still in the thinking mode!!!! The hardest thing for me is figuring out what to do.

Yes, I have already started printing her pics and i have a few of her concert shirts that i will use and she love roses so i will have that in it as well. It is all in the planning stages. Thanks for asking.

How many people have signed up? Will you start assigning partners soon? I'm the type who doesn't start on a project until I know who it's going to - try to incorporate at least one element that is personal, etc.
Can't wait to find out ... |
JenniePenny, I pretty much have everyone paired up, but will have to do a little shifting to accommodate one overseas person. I'll post the evening of the 29th which is the last day for sign up. Sorry for the painful anticipation!
Uh oh. Just got a drop out. More juggling!!! |
