March 2019 Pincushion Swap
 

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the January 2019 Pincushion Swap. You must be signed up by the 31[SUP]st [/SUP]March 2019 as partners names will be sent out between 1st and 2nd April 2019. You must have mailed by the 8th April 2019. This is a hard and fast deadline - no excuses. You must also please let me know when you mail and when you receive... this is so I can make sure that everybody receives a pincushion.

This is a personal choice swap so you can make any type of pincushion that you would like to.

Before signing up, please read the rules below:

Rules

As with all swaps there must be rules so here are ours!

1. This is a secret swap.
2. This is not a partnered swap so you may not receive from the person you send to.
3. Everybody on the board is welcome to take part.
4. This will be a bi-monthly swap (6 in a year) – you only take part in the months that you sign up for.
5. If you commit to taking part you must send out a pincushion… no excuses!
6. If you encounter a problem or issue, you must let me know immediately; there is nothing that cannot be sorted and re-organised if you communicate.
7. You are only committed to send a pincushion…. You may, if you wish send other items, but please do not expect to receive anything more than a pincushion.
8. Be kind to the person you receive from… we are all at different levels of experience on this board and we need to encourage each other… so if you receive an item from a less experienced stitcher -just appreciate the time and love that has been put into making it.
9. You must mail your item with 4 days of receiving your person’s name.
10. The main rule is to have fun making and receiving some lovely creations.

Sign-ups will start now and close on the 31[SUP]st[/SUP] March 2019 for this round.

When signing up, please let me know if you have a nut allergy as some people fill their pincushions with walnut shells.

[ATTACH=CONFIG]609511[/ATTACH]Good things come to those who wait and this morning this is what I found!chocolate, pins and needles and a "travelling " container for them and to top it all off not 1 but 2 gorgeous little owls. I now have 4and I love them all. I would love the pattern, so where do I find it? I,ve searched before but can't find it...the curves stump me trying to copy it. And after all that, I should have thanked Auora first. I reall love it all and so sorry you had to wait so long for a thank you and to know that it arrived!

Apparently your package did get on that slow boat. I am so sorry it took so long. You are very welcome. Have you found all the sections to the container? This is my favorite travel container, it holds so many different things, even scissors.

Thanks Queenbarbie, I will try that one too. It is different to the one Aurora sent me, which I got to work and made straight away.(thank you Angela). I still have to put the eyes on and he will travel with me till I get and address to post to. And Aurora, I love that container and it will fit in my sewing basket beautifully and will be well used. Thank you.

my PC is winging its way across the ocean. It has a looooong way to go.

Mine is on its way.

Mine left the little country town where I posted it and has made it to the city where its been sitting waiting for a plane to fly it across the Ocean since Thuesday 4th.

Mine left Australian shores Monday 8th. En route to ??

Mine is winging it's way to it's new home... again it has a long way to go.

No problem. I have senior moments occasionally myself. I had a second chocolate bar to mail, but I couldn't find it. I guess I will have to suffer and try not to enjoy it too much. I promise I will make it up to you the next time I draw the short straw.

I picked up a package from Queenbarbiej (Jessica) yesterday at the Post Office. It contained very large pincushion with colorful hexies machine appliquéd on it. I will try to purchase a camera tomorrow when I am in town so I can start posting photos.
