March Fat Quarter Swap : SPRING FLOWERS optional Easter sign ups close March 2nd.

Spring Flowers with the option of Easter included. (IF you do not want Easter please let me know and I will TRY to match you accordingly)

READ ALL THE RULES NEW NOTES THIS MONTH:

Description: This will be a monthly swap. You will sign up each month and you can choose each month whether or not to participate. You will be given a random person to swap with and that person will change each month. This is a secret pal swap meaning you will have a secret swap with another person who has signed up.

Each month there will be a different theme or color that we will swap. There is a limit of two swaps per person.
**Each person will swap 5 fat quarters that go with the theme or color of the month.
**FQ's can be purchased or can be from your stash but they must be 100% cotton and they must measure 18 x 22 inches (standard FQ).
**They should be 5 DIFFERENT FQ's. but coordinating fabrics are never a bad choice!

March is a spring flower swap. You are to pick fat quarters with Spring Flowers! I am asking that at least 3 fabrics be spring flowers and a maximum of 2 blenders/tone on tones to go with them. I would gladly work with you as best I can to pair you with someone who would rather have Easter if you would only like to send Easter or receive Easter. I can not guarantee that I will have enough people to pair your special request with so please know this upfront.

I don't want any hurt feelings or sad people because they did not receive but they were good enough to send. If there is trouble this month I will go to partners next month. It would be tons easier for me so if you want to keep this a secret pal type of swap then please be responsible.


Participants are required to PM me when they have received their FQ's and are required to post a PM thanking the sender. You don't need to let me know you have mailed.


*When you send your FQ's please be sure to include your board/screen name so that people know whom to thank.

If you would like to participate please PM me with: your board name, full name and address and the number of sets you would like to do. Two set limit.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: Sign ups close for the March Fat Quarter Swap on Sunday March 2nd at 5p.m.

NAMES WILL BE GIVEN BY March 3rd noon.

MAILING DATE: YOU MUST MAIL by MARCH 7th. NO LATE EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED THIS TIME UNLESS THERE IS A MAJOR FAMILY EMERGENCY. Save your postage money up now! people are getting hurt feelings by these late mailings, worries they will not receive from their partner and this is absolutely not fair. Pick your fabrics before sign ups close, have them ready to mail in a preaddressed envelope and you will be set to go to make that mailing date. I will have to leave late mailing feedback if these late mailings do not stop.

Easter fabrics are fine also but make sure you let me know that is what your sending and if you want to receive Easter. Some won't so I need to know that .. can't guarantee I can set you up with the perfect swap but I will really try :)

I think its amazing how many florals we do have.. even those who are not so flowery :) I would have sworn I did not have nearly enough to swap.. amazingly enough I was seriously wrong :) I guess I love flowers a lot more than I thought! ok I love flowers just never have quiet the right project I think because where on earth did all that yardage come from! lol. magic! it showed up magically!

Hello ladies! Here it goes, I just came home from a little surgery. I have been having a .. brain cramp. My daughter came and she is sorta not helping at the moment my memory cramp is a big one. I have 17 sign ups which feels right but could you please I know this is a pain.. but could you please send me a pm to confirm I have it? I took four emails this morning and sent them into .. oblivion instead of here. What a moron. So please send me your name again and if I have it great and if I don't even better because I will have it for sure.

You know I have complete control of that easter bunny and well he will be visiting only some of your homes. The rest of you .. will be banished to the flower zone! oh ok you get to pick which zone you would prefer but it sounded so good thinking about it.. I personally am a massive cute easter bunny fan. I mean really? the EASTER BUNNY? how could you just not love it! but I get some like regular old flowers.. like oh darn a bunch of flowers for you to bring in the spring weather.. the trouble is.. you do have to sign up for this if you are interested so quick as a cricket! sign up!!!

Thinking pink? maybe its white! or yellow! little tiny flowers in a field? or perhaps its a big splash of colorful spring flowers waiting to be played with.. do you love easter bunnies and maybe even chicks? oh how cute!!! eggs some are pastel some are bold and colorful... No block for Febr. brat. I got 10 greens that were all about the same color range and they just didn't work out to make the blocks. Thinking maybe I can combine them with March and make a couple of spring runners and a table mat. I will use those more than another quilt in this house. As you know I change out table runners and mats for the time of year or the holiday. So I'm thinking that is a smarter thing to do with them....

I will be going out of town, but I will be taking the fq's with me in their respective envelopes so I can just mail them when we get our names. I love this swap and I want to be ready to mail asap! I am excited to see what beautiful fq's I will receive. Thank you Brat!!

Lauriejo omg.. that is exactly the same thing here! My dh is outside shoveling walkways and well.. better him than me (evil grin). I am dreaming of a spring day but from what I hear (newbie here to Cody) it comes and is gone in a ny second. I think we go from winter to summer in an easy flash. Last summer ended finally as it was so warm here and I thought oh my I sure love this fall weather! then the first snow came on Sept 29th and I thought WAIT A MINUTE where is FALL??? lol I guess one just gets used to the weather. I am getting there but the difference from a CA winter to a WY winter is HUGE. (wimp I admit it). I will be dreaming of the spring a coming with all the gorgeous fabrics you guys will be sending. If you want to see some killer spring flowers go over to the block of the month mystery train. Cooper and Oksewnsew have both done these spring flower blocks that makes me want to run into a store and get some for myself. Gorgeous! so pull out all the wonderful fat quarters you can and join along in making this a truly SPRING FLING type swap. Oh and Easter if you love Easter? this is the place to make you smile and sing happy songs because we have some grand swappers who are more than willing to assist in fattening your fat quarter bundles with bunnies and eggs! just a couple days and I will be giving out names! yahooooo!!!

Ooohhh can't wait! I really need some spring and the negative temps are just not doing it. Although if I were honest this winter is really not that much worse than a lot of the winters here when I was a kid. My arthritic joints just don't handle it as well. So spring fabrics to fondle will be wonderful.

I love the winter don't get me wrong but only from inside the house. Its so pretty and calm like.. lol but I am getting ready to go outside and boy oh boy not excited about this at all! its negative temps this morning and truthfully I think its a bunch of baloney but one must do what one must do and unfortunately dialysis is a must. I will be glad to get back in the house safely and stay here til Tuesday when I must go out again. I will hope to get maybe just a few more sign ups? before the end of the weekend.
