Im in ....surgery took only 9 hours and they put stuff back together .... am healing good ..... the skin graff is healing best on my leg .... my neck is taking longest to heal ..... but its looking better everyday ...so girls watch out I am ready o start the handwork on my CRAZY quilt .... did the base before the surgery .... :o)))))) Im ready to goooooo

Here's another resource for those who might be a little uncomfortable with Crazy Quilting - Pintangle has a block by block guide to a quilt that the author made - but the wonderful part is that there are diagrams that you can print out and use to paper piece if you wish. I just copied four images into Word, set the margins to be narrow and enlarged them to my liking.

Krystyna, I have done 50 of those blocks in batiks for a 'non embellished' crazy quilt. I must get the top completed in the next couple of weeks so I can post a pic.

Aw, I felt like that too Krystyna when I first started to piece my blocks. And after a couple of false starts, I think I'm getting the hang of it. (Or at least I hope so.) I am glad I started this quilt early. I still have a lot to do. I hope you figure out your direction and things start to smooth out. :thumbup: It turns out, lol that crazy has to be a little planned. :)

Judith, just wondering about my color choices. Seemed like a good idea at the time -- there are moires, satins, velvet and who knows what else. We'll see. I'm just glad, like you, that it's early in the month!

I'm in. PM'd you already. Been away too long, time to get back in the groove. I joined my first Shop Hop this weekend and it is so fun, it's going on for 10 days, so far I've only been to 4 stores and there are 37. hoping to get some great ideas for some doll quilts.
