I am in for the whole thing :D - 15 cottons, 5 neutrals and 5 batiks. Please PM me your address. I spent all of today cutting the cottons and neutrals (it always takes longer than I think it will LOL!) and have just enough batiks so I will get to those next. Here's a picture of a top I pieced with the first 2.5 swap squares I received. I haven't decided if I want it bigger and whether I want borders or not.

YIPEE!!! I'm home! I'm sunburned and have shin splints but we had a wonderful time! I even found a WONDERFUL little quilt store on St. Simions Island, Georgia. GOOD prices, SUPER collection! I'll spend today cutting May Day Candy!!!!

cavmom! Welcome to our "Candy" swapping group! We have great ladies here and I'm always happy with my collection when it's over. Thank you for posting your sweet quilt! It's so pretty. I looked through a book of Georgia Quilts while I was shopping and saw some beautiful postage stamp quilts. One was done in 1" squares, one was 1.5". My son thought it looked crazy... I had to admit...I'm collecting 1", 1.5" and 2.5" stamps... Does that make me triple crazy???

I also received a "candy" delivery from kele while I was on my little vaca. Thank you!!!

Sheri, please include this suggestion in the instructions on the next swap..

Isn't this a great idea! I do press sometimes but I haven't starched. I use Best Press and I think I'll experiment as per your suggestion! Thanks Barri!

Oh, I love that quilt top cavmom, how big were your blocks? did you use 2.5 ps or did you use the smaller ones? Truly that is one of my favorite patterns that I have seen using PS pieces. I want to make a quilt from my great Aunts pattern book, but I think I will do this one first!

I am in Washington all this week; my daughter is such a wonderful person to spend time with, and being on Grammy Duty is the best! I love spending time with the 3 year old bundle of energy! We are going to a fabric store tomorrow to get some fabric so I can "whip up a quilt" for my daughter, she actually thinks I can make one in a few days! So I guess we are going to put it to test!

I will keep you posted as to how that goes! :D

I used the 2.5 pcs. and the blocks ended up being 8.5, so right now its about 56" sq. I will probably make the top a little bigger :)
