I mailed Cheesehead's quilt out today and sent her the tracking#, still haven't opened mine, want to wait until she gets hers!

I received a PM last night from nise saying that she received my mini quilt but is unable to post pictures. I am a fairly new quilter and she was nice enough to overlook my mistakes. Here is what I sent her.

Just look at what I got in the mail today from my partner Kelle!! :D She made me the cutest little mini quilt & also included some darling sewing notion button's along with a wonderful sewing related fat quarter. I can't tell you how excited that I am with my goodies that came today. I have enjoyed this mini quilt exchange so much & am just as excited for the August one that is coming. Last night Oldcatlady and I opened our mini quilts. What I received was absolutely gorgeous and done to perfection! The fireworks fabric she chose just "pops" and was a perfect choice to showcase this paper pieced star! The picture I took doesn't do it justice, this mini quilt is fabulous!!!

I love both of those lil' minis! I can relate to the old cat lady too. I have that reputation in my neighborhood since I have 5 indoors and a colony of 10-15 outdoors kittys that I care for! And the fireworks star is way cool also! What is so neat about this swap is the interpretations of summer that everyone came up with. All unique and beautiful!

I rec'd my mini from Linny yesterday. Will post pics this weekend
when I have some time.

Cheesehead and Oldcatlady those are all so pretty. You are both very talented. I can just see those fireworks, and those kitties are just too cute. The paper pieced basket with the beautiful tulip is so nice. My dad always has tulips in his yard.

Klaws it would be nice to see a group after what everyone makes in the pincushion/needle case swap.

Thanks Cheesehead for posting pics. I absolutely LOVE my minis and the cat fabrics you included. The tulip quilt is so bright and cheerful and excellent paper piecing. The binding makes it pop! I am tickled pink with my cat quilt. It is so me :) and the little fish bones and paw embroidery on the label just makes me smile! I don't do embroidery so I'm thrilled whenever I get some in a swap. Everyone at work loved them. Thank you so much. I'm a lucky girl indeed. :)

I wish I had the time, I would fly to Colorado to help you for free. Well, for room and board, anyway!! I LOVE Colorado. The mountains, all that is gorgeous!!

That is a really nice mini quilt of the beach with that comfortable looking chair. That's the life. lol...

When one looks at the collective group of minis, I said to myself, what a wonderful talented group we are. Just give us the opportunity and the creative juices flow. I will anxiously await the posting of the needlecases/pincushions pictures. Cannot join that one, as I am recovering from a bit of abdominal cutting and have only walked through my sewing room. Lucy, my Bernina, says she misses me. Perhaps later this week. . . . Meanwhile, I keep myself busy w/an applique project.

Here's my summery mini from Quilty Louise. The colors are so fresh and bright, and the extra sparkles make it even prettier. Thanks Louise. I love it! Thanks too for the lint roller, pen, and orange stick that I will use often.

Linny that is so pretty. Quilty Louise did a great job on it. I like the colors, and all those little sparkles. It's cute with the little yo yo's on the corners. Everyone adds their own special touches, and make them all so pretty.
