So for those that did not see this on the July-November swap, here is the WH and goodies that lovethemgreys received.
|
Jnct, I have been hoping to see your completed wall-hanging. The color choices are nice together and the quilting is very pretty. I'm glad that you girls were able to figure out how to post the photo. It seems as though there should be more wall-hangings/photos for that swap.

I am in! I have the cutest Idea and am so excited that I can post pictures!
Being left handed myself I feel your pain, Ube! My Daughter who is also left handed learned how to knit from my Mom she sat across from her and duplicated her movements! I think I couldn't do it because my Mom was a lot harder on me that she was on my Daughter!LOL I taught myself to crochet small items but quilting and sewing will always be my first love!

My Mom tried desperately to teach her left handed daughter to knit and crochet. There wasn't anything she couldn't do except for that. I just couldn't follow the rules way back then. I crossed learning how to do it off my list of accomplishments a long time ago so now I don't have to worry about it. I can enjoy all the wonderful things created by all of you. :D

Boy, we all need more time in the day. Am working on ufo's this year and here is another one. This was a Fat Quarter Shop BOM from 2009. I finished It!!!! Now I hope I can post it!
|
Skaduzy, that is beautiful!!! From 2009--that really is a UFO. Some things are so amazing that you have to take your time with them.
|
A beautiful BOM. I would love to see close ups of the blocks and fabric. They are all so pretty. It make me happy to see your work.
peace |
Ube, you are so nice, Thank you......It was Glacé fabric by Moda, I think. I will try to post a few of the blocks.
And SewingSew.......thank you, too......it wasn't that I took my time...haha...it was that I did the blocks, didn't know if I liked them so I put it in the closet unassembled. Finally found some fabric online a few months ago for the backing...yea, some store still had some! Now that it is done I do like it. It is actually Christmas fabric. |
Oh skaduzy that is so pretty. I am doing one that is using all my auditioned blocks. I hope it comes out as well.
|
skaduzy what a beauty! You do wonderful work.
|
Beautiful quilt skaduzy.

Hope everyone is ready for Thanksgiving! I was up at 4:30 am making pie crust. Then off to work - when I get home, I will roll out crust, freeze and make filling. Then brining the second turkey so everyone has leftovers! Bloody Marys tomorrow morning, yippee!
|
Ohhh, I love Bloody Mary's. May just have to make some of those myself.
|
Bloody Marys for every one! Happy Thanksgiving .
peace |
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

After the holiday hi! Mini quilts have really grabbed my attention so look into the future, March to be exact, I downsized a full size quilt to 12.5" sq so far.
I call this one "A Little Irish" And what I saw on my morning walk. These beauties belong to a neighbor two houses away and we get to see them pasturing occasionally. We can hear the Emus' throaty drumming all the time. Wonderful to know them. peace |
Haha ube I am a left hander also and had the same experience! My mother both knitted and crocheted beautifully. I have a sister who is a master knitter and a daughter who crochets. I just love quilting. 😊
|
Love the quilt Ube
|
Love the quilts and afghans posted here. My mom (also left handed) taught me to crochet and I learned to knit late in life - I knit most of the time because arthritis makes crocheting hurt a little more.
As for using up stash - I might have to live to 450 to be able to use up all yarn/fabric stash! |
Hello Everyone,
I have contacted Rhonda & want to join in on the fun. Could someone please tell me what the 'theme' is? I couldn't find it anywhere. I must if over looked it. Thanks' |
Hi LAQUITA, welcome to the swap. This is a swap with no theme. It is always makers choice. The only rule as far as design is to make it bigger than a mug rug and small enough that most people will have a spot to hang it. Most of us usually, with some exceptions, make quilts about 2 square feet in size but there is no real limit.
The most important thing is to PM Rhonda when you have your wall hanging done and ready to send or your name will not go on the ready to send list. So feel free to make anything you want. We love to see patterns, fabrics and progress and hear about your life and pictures too. We will do our best to answer questions and support each other. Hope this helps. peaced |
To add to ube's description -- noone knows who gets which wall hanging so post all the pictures you want of your progress and the final wall hanging!! We love pictures of all kinds!
Welcome to all these new swappers or returning swappers! We're happy to have you join us! |
